Özet
Bu tezin en temel amacı bir libretto metni yazarak bir sanat eseri ortaya koymak ve özgün bir eser yaratmaktır. Çalışmada, opera türü biçim olarak ele alınmış ve bu biçimi oluşturan yapılar sergilenerek, bu yapıların tarihsel gelişimleri ve kullanımları incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda ortaya konan bakış açısıyla, bu bileşenler ve yapı düşünülerek bir metin, bir libretto yazılmıştır. Bütünsel bir yapı olan libretto, biçimsel anlamda bileşenlerine ayrılmış ve ayrılmış bileşenleri bağlamında düşünülerek yeni bir metnin yaratım süreci inşa edilmiştir. Ortaya çıkan metin, Halide Edip Adıvar'ın Vurun Kahpeye adlı romanından esinlenerek operaya dönüştürülen Vurun Kahpeye adlı librettodur.

The principle aim of this dissertation is to produce a work of art and create an original piece by composing a libretto text. The study addresses the genre opera as a form and the structures comprising this form are presented. It analyzes the historical development of these structures, as well as how they are used. With the perspective presented accordingly, a text which is a libretto has been composed within the context of these structures. The libretto which is a complete structure is disintegrated into its components. In light of these components, the creation process of a new text has been constructed as a result. The text created then is a libretto named“Vurun Kahpeye”, which is transformed into opera, inspired by Halide Edip Adıvar's novel“Vurun Kahpeye”.
