Özet
Bilgi erişim sürecinde kullanıcılar, gereksinim duydukları bilgiye eri-şimde çeşitli nedenlerle zorluk yaşayabilmektedir. Bu duruma, kullanı-cılar arasındaki bireysel ve bilişsel farklılıklar sebep olabileceği gibi sis-temden kaynaklanan sorunlar da sebep olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle bilgi erişim sürecinde hem kullanıcı bilgi arama davranışlarının hem de kul-lanıcıların sistemle etkileşiminin değerlendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Kul-lanıcıların sistemle etkileşiminin değerlendirilebilmesi amacıyla örtük geribildirim ve açık geribildirim olmak üzere iki tür verinin analizinin birlikte değerlendirilmesi, süreci daha anlamlı kılmaktadır. Göz izleme tekniği, bilgi erişim sürecinde kullanıcı-sistem etkileşimi değerlendi-rilmesine yönelik örtük geribildirim verileri sunduğundan ve kullanıcı-lardan somut veri elde edilebilmesine olanak tanıdığından önemli bir tekniktir. Bu amaçla, bilgi erişim sürecinde kullanıcı-sistem etkileşi-minin göz izleme tekniğiyle değerlendirilmesi ve elde edilen verilerin kullanıcı görüşleriyle birlikte analiz edilmesi tezin konusunu oluştur-maktadır. Araştırmada farklı yöntemlerin kullanılması gerekliliği, araş-tırmanının deneysel çalışmayı içermesi, göz izleme tekniğinin uygu-lanmasında yaşanabilecek sınırlılıklar ve pandemi sürecinden kaynaklı katılımcılara erişim problemi nedeniyle kapsama, Ankara Üniversitesi Dil ve Tarih-Coğrafya Fakültesi'nde bulunan 19 bölümde görev yapan araştırma görevlileri dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışmada karma yöntem araştır-ması tercih edilmiştir. Nicel araştırma veri toplama tekniği olarak göz izleme tekniği kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler, Tobii Studio 3. 4. 8 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Nitel araştırma veri toplama tekniği olarak gözlem ve yapılandırılmış görüşme tercih edilmiştir. Göz izleme testi sırasında, kullanıcıların göz hareketinin bulunduğu video kayıtları ile yapılandırılmış görüşme sorularının analizi ise tematik içerik analiz yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ışığında, bilgi erişim sürecinde etkileşimi maksimum düzeye çıkarmak amacıyla örtük geri-bildirim ve açık geribildirim tekniklerinin kullanımına ve değerlendir-mesine odaklanan bir etkileşimli bilgi erişim süreci modeli sunulmuştur.

In the process of information retrieval, users may have difficulties in accessing the information they need for various reasons. This situation may be caused by individual and cognitive differences among users, as well as problems arising from the system. For this reason, in the information retrieval process, the need to evaluate user information seeking behaviors as well as the interaction of users with the system should be evaluated. Evaluating the analysis of two types of data, namely implicit feedback and explicit feedback, in order to evaluate the interaction of users with the system makes the process more meaningful. Eye tracking technique is an important technique as it provides implicit feedback data for evaluating user-system interaction in the information retrieval process and enables concrete data to be obtained from users.It also allows researchers to conduct a full assessment for interaction by creating a meaningful whole with explicit feedback data from users. In this context, the evaluation of the user-system interaction in the information retrieval process with eye tracking technique and the analysis of the obtained data together with the user views constitute the subject of the thesis. Due to the necessity of using different methods in the study, the fact that the researcher includes the experimental study, the limitations that may be experienced in the application of the eye tracking technique and the problem of access to the participants due to the pandemic process, the research assistants working in 19 departments in Ankara University Faculty of Language and History-Geography were included in the scope. Mixed method research was preferred in the study. Eye tracking technique was used as a quantitative research data collection technique and the data obtained were analyzed with Tobii Studio 3. 4. 8 program. Observation and structured interview were preferred as qualitative research data collection techniques. During the eye tracking test, the video recordings of the users' eye movements and the analysis of the structured interview questions were evaluated using the thematic content analysis method. In consideration of the data obtained, an interactive information retrieval process model has been presented that focuses on the use and evaluation of implicit and explicit feedback techniques in order to maximize interaction in information retrieval process.
