ABSTRACT This study is prepared about the use of geothermal energy, which becomes widespread day after day in the world. As a case the“9 Eylül University Hospital”examined, which includes 11 blocks. Total closed building area is 103.000 m2, but only blocks with number 1,6,7,8,9 and 10 are on work. The other blocks are under I construction. This study includes basically how to provide the necessary energy for mis new blocks. By geothermal energy or by conventional methods? The applications in Turkey and in the world and the problems in geothermal wells like scaling and corrosion are told with examples. The solutions are find with benefit the experimental ways. The positive environmental impact of geothermal energy and the technical and economical comparision with conventional systems are investigated.
