Özet
ÖZET Bu tez çalışmasında, bazı bitki büyüme hormonlarının mutajenik özellikleri, kısa zamanlı bakteriyel mutajenite test sistemlerinden olan Salmonella /mikrozom ve SOS kromotest sistemleri ile araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan bitki büyüme hormonları indol-3-asetik asit, türevi a-naphthaleneasetik asit ve ticari formu padomin, gibberellik asit ve ticari formu bereleks ve sitokinin türevi olan benzyladenindir. Salmonella/mikrozom test sisteminde, Salmonella typhimurim TA98 ve TA100 mutant suşları kullanılmış ve test rat karaciğeri S9 fraksiyonu varlığı ve yokluğunda gerçekleştirilmiştir. SOS kromotest sisteminde ise E.coli PQ 37 mutant susu kullanılmıştır. Bu test edilen bitki büyüme hormonlarından benzyladenin, yalnızca S. typhimurium TA 98 susunda ve S9 fraksiyonu varlığında zayıf mutajenik etki göstermiştir. Test edilen diğer bitki büyüme hormonlarının hepsi, her iki test sisteminde de mutajenik etkili bulunmamıştır.

ABSTRACT In this study the mutagenic effect of some plant growth hormones have been investigated by short term bacterial mutagenity test systems namely Salmonella/microsome and SOS chromotest. The growth hormones tested by these systems are indole-3-acetic acid and its derivative a-naphthaleneacetic acid and its commercial form padomin, gibberellic acid and its commercial form berelex and a cytokinin derivative benzyladenine. In the Salmonella / microsome test system the mutant strains used are S. typhimurium TA98 and TA100. The tests have been performed in the presence and absence of rat liver S9 fraction. The mutant strain E. coli PQ 37 have been used for the SOS chromotest. Among the plant growth hormones tested only benzyladenine was found to be weakly mutagenic for the S. typhimurium TA 98 strain and in the presence of S9 fraction. The other plant growth hormones tested were nonmutagenic in both test systems.
