Özet
öz Araştırmada, bir mikroalg türü olan Rhinomonas reticulata, rotiferlerden bir zooplankton türü Brachionus plicatilis'e besin olarak verilmiş ve alg yoğunluğu, havalandırma, beslenme süresi, sıcaklık ve tuzluluk etmenlerinin, rotiferin süzme ve besin alma oranlarına etkileri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci aşamasında, yoğun alg ortamında Brachionus plicatilis 'in besin alma oranı artış gösterirken süzme hızının azaldığı gözlenmiştir. İkinci aşamada ise, havalandırma verilmeyen ortamda beslenen B. plicatilis 'in besin alma oranı, havalandırma verilen gruplara göre yüksek bulunmuştur. Çalışmanın üçüncü aşamasında, en kısa beslenme süresi olan 40 dakika sonunda en yüksek besin alma ve süzme değeri saptanmışta". Sıcaklığın etkisinin incelendiği dördüncü aşamada ise, farklı sıcaklık değerlerinden elde edilen süzme ve besin alma oranlan arasında önemli bir farklılık olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın son aşaması olan tuzluluk denemesinde ise, azalan tuzluluk değeri karşısında B. plicatilis 'in süzme ve besin alma oranının arttığı saptanmıştır.

ABSTRACT V The study was carried out to determine the effects of the food concentration, aeration, duration of the feeding, temperature and salinty on the filtration and ingestion rates of rotifer Brachionus plicatilis fed on Rhinomonas reticulata. At the first phase of the study, when the algae concentration was increasing it was determined that the ingestion rate increased. However, on the contrary, the filtration rate decreased. At the second phase, it was found that the ingestion rate of B. plicatilis in the non-aerated vessels was higher man the enviroment with aeration. At the third phase, the highest ingestion and filtration rates were determined at the 40 minute of short term experiment. At the fourth phase of the study, the effects of temperature on the filtration and ingestions rates of Brachionus plicatilis were investigated and no differences were determined. At the last phase we tried to determine the effect of the salinty factor on the feeding activity of B. plicatilis and it was determined that the ingestion and filtration rates increased when the salinty value was decreased.
