Özet
DC ÖZ Bu çalışmanın amacı, tekstil sektöründe önemi hızla artmakta olan denim teknolojisini tanıtmak ve bu teknolojinin ana girdisi olan indigo boyarmaddesini sentezleyerek ülke ekonomisine katkıda bulunmaktır. Çalışma birbirini tamamlayan iki bölüm halinde yapılmıştır. İlk bölümde ; tamamı yurt dışından satın alınan indigo boyarmaddesi, yerli ve ucuz hammaddeler kullanılarak, literatürdeki bilgilerden farklılıklar ve tamamlayıcı özellikler taşıyan değişik yöntemlerle sentezlenmiştir. ikinci bölümde ise, sentezlenen indigo boyarmaddesinin boyama özellikleri belirlenerek, denim boyama yöntemlerine göre boyamaları yapılmış, ithal indigo boyarmaddeleri ile karşılaştırılması yapılarak üretim ve kullanım yönünden uygunluğu tespit edilmiştir.

ABSTRACT This study aims to introduce the denim technology which is gaining importance in the textile industry, and to contribute to the economy of the country by synthesizing the indigo dyestufif-a significant element in the denim technology. The study consists of two interrelated research processes: in the first phase, imported dyestuff was synthesized under conditions different than the ones described in the related literature and patents, using cheap domestic raw material. In the second phase, the dyeing characterictics of synthesized indigo dyestuff were determined through various tests. Textile material was exposed to different dyeing tests according to denim dyeing methods, using the synthesized indigo dyestuff. The results obtained were compared and contrasted to those of imported indigo dyestuff, in order to find out whether or not there of synthesizing, application, and quality. As a result, the synthesized indigo dyestuff was proven to be appropriate.
