Özet
Tarım sektörünün GSYİH içindeki payı ve istihdam yaratma kabiliyeti açılarından değerlendirildiğinde ekonomiler için çok önemli bir yere sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Bu tezde, tarım sektörünün Nepal ekonomisine olan etkileri girdi-çıktı yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Bu amaçla 2010-2017 yılları için Asya kalkınma bankasının yayımladığı girdi-çıktı tabloları kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde tarım ve kalkınma konusu ve Nepal tarım sektörü ile ilgili genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, girdi-çıktı analizi ele alınırken üçüncü bölümde ise girdi-çıktı tablosundan hesaplanan göstergeler analiz edilerek tarım sektörünün Nepal ekonomisine olan etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre tarım sektörü Nepal ekonomisinde kilit sektör rolü oynamamakta ama girdi sağlamak konusunda (tarım sektörü en çok gıda, deri, tekstil, keretse ürünler, imalat sanayi, kimyasal ürünler ve konaklama ve restoran hizmetler gibi sektörlere girdi sağlamaktadır) büyük bir etkiye sahiptir. Tarım sektörü, Nepal ekonomisinde ileri bağlantı etkisi endeksi konusunda en yüksek değere sahip sektör olduğu için tarım sektörünün endüstriler arası girdi talebi yoluyla diğer sektörler üzerindeki etkisinin oldukça yüksek olduğu söylenebilir.

The agriculture sector has a very important place in the economies in terms of its share in the GDP and its ability to create employment. In this thesis, the agriculture sector's impacts on the Nepalese economy are analyzed with the input-output method. For this, input-output tables for the period of 2010-2017 published by the Asian development bank are used. In the first section of this study, agriculture and development are described and a general overview of the Nepalese agriculture sector is made. In the second section, the input-output analysis is discussed. In the third section, the effects of the agricultural sector on the Nepalese economy are evaluated by analyzing the indicators calculated by utilizing I-O tables. According to the obtained results, the agricultural sector had not played a key role in the given period in the Nepalese economy. But the agriculture sector has a great impact on providing intermediate inputs (i.e. the agriculture sector provides inputs to the sectors such as food, leather, textile, lumber products, manufacturing industry, chemical products and accommodation and restaurant services) to some sectors of the economy. The forward linkage effect index of the agricultural sector is the highest compared to other sectors in the Nepalese economy. It can be said that the agriculture sector's impact on the other sectors via inter-industrial input demand is huge because of its highest forward linkage effect index in the economy.
