95 SUMMARY it This thesis titled Çiçekdağı and Environmental Dialects"consist of four parts introduction, analsis (phonology »morphology, conclustion) text and dictionary. In the introduction part, Çiçekdağı physical geography,a summary historical background from seljuks to the Republican Period and the ethnic structure of the region have been given seperately.Owing to its relevance to the conclusion of our study.ethnic structure has been examined in details.Because.the examination of language and dialect cheracteristics with regard to ethnic seperations and the determination of certain characteristics derivig from certain ethnic parts has been an impotant method of dialectologic studies recently.In this respect,it has been simed to reveal Çiçekdağı ethnic struucture by studying plenty of historical and recent referance books, by making use of some ancestorial oral informtion releted to the tribes and by adding the data of place noes science and name science.In the view of this study,it has been found out 8 names of clans,tribes and sebts belonging to Oğuz Turks and to the other Turks who had lived in Çiçekdağı and in its environment. v In the phonology part,the vowels which don't exist in formal language, long and short vowels and the reasons for this formation, nasalised vowels,diphthongs,vowels harmonies, vowel gradations,elision and vowels have been examined. At the aniof phonology part,the situation of word and sentence stress in the local dialects has been clarified. In the morphology part, nouns,pronouns,adjectives, adverbs, verbs and preposition have been examined and exeplified in all respects as word types regard to the local dialects and some forms have been compared with the other Anatolian dialects and historical forms. :In the conclus ion part, the discovered results with respect to thonology and morphology have been given in itemse and the dialectal charactesistich have been pointed out widh relevance to the different ethnic gioups. The bibliography of the thesis has been given after the conclusion part. The texts have been collected from 16 different parts of Çiçekdağı and its environment between 1994-1996 and they have been transcribed. In the dictionary part, the formal language equivalences of the local words and the equivalences of the words which have changed phonologically all have been given.
