Özet
Bu araştırmada, aynı davranışları ölçmek üzere geliştirilen kısa cevaplı, çoktan seçmeli ve kompozisyon tipi üç ayn testin psikometrik özellikleri bakımından karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Testlerin hazırlanmasında, belirlenen 17 davranışa ilişkin kısa cevaplı test J için 44, çoktan seçmeli test için 41 ve kompozisyon tipi test için 14 madde hazırlanmış olup, ön deneme uygulaması sonucunda yapılan madde analizi yardımıyla, esas uygulamaya 17 davranışı ölçmek üzere kısa cevaplı test için 17, çoktan seçmeli test için 17 ve kompozisyon tipi test için 1 1 madde seçilmiştir. Hazırlanan testler, 1996-1997 öğretim yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Eğitim Bilimleri Bölümü'nde okuyan ve İstatistik I dersini alan 173 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Testlerin kapsamını İstatistik I dersinin Merkeze Yığılma Ölçüleri ünitesindeki Aritmetik Ortalama, Ortanca, Ağırlıklı Ortalama ve Mod konulan oluşturmuştur. Testlere ilişkin madde analizleri Excel paket programı yardımı ile yapılmıştır. Testlerin karşılaştırılması için, madde ve test istatistiklerinin dağılımına ilişkin tablo ve grafikler hazırlanmıştır. Kompozisyon tipi maddelerden oluşan testin madde güçlük indeksleri kısa cevaplı maddelerden oluşan testin madde güçlük indekslerine göre daha düşük, çoktan seçmeli maddelerden oluşan testin madde güçlük indeksleri ise her iki testin madde güçlük indekslerine göre daha yüksek gözükmüştür. Çoktan seçmeli maddelerden oluşan testin ortalama güçlük düzeyi de diğer iki teste göre daha yüksek gibi gözükmüştür.11 Çoktan seçmeli maddelerden oluşan testin madde ayıncılık gücü indeksleri diğer iki teste göre daha yüksek gibidir ve bu maddeler ölçülmek istenilen davranışa sahip olanlarla sahip olmayan öğrencileri daha iyi ayırıyor gözükmektedir. Kompozisyon tipi maddelerden oluşan testin madde varyanslan çoktan seçmeli ve kısa cevaplı maddelerden oluşan testlere göre daha yüksek ve dolayısıyla da bireyler arası farkları daha iyi gösteriyor gözükmektedir. Kısa cevaplı ve çoktan seçmeli maddelerden oluşan iki testin madde güvenirlik indeksleri birbirine daha yakın ve kompozisyon tipi maddelerden oluşan testin madde güvenirlik indekslerinden daha yüksek gibi bulunmuştur. Üç test için de madde güvenirlik indeksleri düşük değerler vermiştir. Üç testin güvenirlikleri karşılaştırıldığında, çoktan seçmeli test diğer iki teste göre daha yüksek bir güvenirliğe sahip gözükmüştür.

This study has aimed at comparing (three different types;) short answer, multiple- choice and essay type tests developed to measure same behaviours. In preparing test, 44 items for short- answer test, 41 items for multiple- choice test and 14 items for essay type test related to determined 17 behaviours were prepared and administered for the purpose of pre-test. 17 items for short- answer test, 17 items for multiple-choice test and 11 items for essay type test were selected for the main application by means of item analysis. The test were administered to 173 students taking the course of Statistics I in the department of Educational Sciences, Hacettepe University. The content of tests consist of Mean, Median, Weighted Mean and Mode subjects in the Central Tendency unit of the course Statistic I. In the analysis of data Excel package programme was used. The distribution of item and test statistics were presented as tables and graphics. In conclusion, item difficulty indexes of essay type test are lower than item difficulty indexes of short answer test, item difficulty indexes of multiple choice test are higher than other two tests. As the result of this, average difficulty level of multiple- choice test is higher than other two tests. It was observed that item discrimination power indexes of multiple- choice test were higher than other two tests and that these items displayed the ones giving correct answers from the ones giving wrong answers. It was noticed that item variances of essay type test was higher than the other two tests. Therefore, essay type test determines the individual differences better than the other two tests. Item reliability indexes of short answer test and multiple-choice test are close to each other and are higher than the item reliability indexes of essay type test. The item reliability indexes of three tests indicates low values. When the reliability's of three tests were compared it was found that reliability of multiple- choice test was higher than the other two tests.
