Özet
Bu çalışmayla, modern dönem edebiyatıyla tanışması sair Arap ülkelerine göre daha geç olan Uman edebiyatının genel hatları ile bu edebiyatın öncü isimlerinden Abdullah et-Tâî'nin ele alınması ve Melâiketu'l-Cebeli'l-Ahdar (Ahdar Dağı'nın Melekleri) adlı romanının incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda ilk bölümde; Uman edebiyatında yaşanan gelişmelerin arka planının daha kapsamlı şekilde anlaşılabilmesine zemin hazırlamak adına ülke tarihi, özellikle de 15. yy'daki Portekiz ve 19. yy'ın başlarında başlayan ve ortalarında güçlü şekilde hissedilen İngiliz sömürgesi ile 1970 sonrası bağımsızlık dönemleri ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde; Uman'da klasik dönemde edebiyatta yaşanan gelişmeler, bu dönemde etkili olan isimler ve eserler ile modern edebiyatın doğuşu, bu sürecin etkin faktörleri ve öne çıkan isimler incelenmiştir. Bu bölümde ayrıca modern Uman edebiyatında öne çıkan temalar ve bu temaların zaman içindeki değişimi açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Son bölümde ise modern Uman edebiyatının öncü isimlerinden Abdullah et-Tâî'nin hayatı, eserleri, edebi kişiliği ve bu dönemde etkili olan kişi ve olaylar incelenmiştir. Buna müteakiben de çalışmanın ana eksenini oluşturan Melâiketu'l-Cebeli'l-Ahdar isimli roman; eseri oluşturan yapısal ve teknik unsurlar çerçevesinde klasik usulde tahlil edilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to examine the general outlines of Omani literature, to which modern literature was introduced at a later stage compared to other Arab countries, and in particular to examine Abdullah al-Tāī, one of the pioneers of this genre, and his novel Malāikah al-Jabal al-Akhdār (The Angels of The Green Mountain). In this context, in order to facilitate a better appreciation of the background of the developments that occurred in Omani literature, the first part deals with the history of the country, especially that of the era of Portuguese colonization in the 15th century and of the era of British colonization, which began in the early 19th century and was most strongly felt in the middle thereof. It also delves into the post-1970 period of independence. The second part examines the developments in classical literature in Oman, the figures and works that were influential in this period, the emergence of modern literature and the factors and prominent figures behind this process. This part also tries to explain the prominent themes in modern Omani literature and the changes these themes have undergone over time. In the last part, the life, works and literary personality of Abdullah al-Tāī, one of the leading figures of modern Omani literature, as well as the people and events that had an impact on this period, are examined. And subsequently, al-Tāī's novel Malāikah al-Jabal al-Akhdār, which constitutes the main axis of this study, is analyzed in the classical manner in the context of the structural and technical elements that make up the work in question.
