ÖZET Doktora Tezi MUHAMMED ABDUH'UN DİNİ VE SİYASİ GÖRÜŞLERİ M. Zeki İŞCAN Danışman: Prof. Dr. Emrullah YÜKSEL 1997, Sayfa: 306 Jüri : Prof. Dr. Emrullah YÜKSEL Batı müdahelesinin Müslümanları esaslı bir kimlik bunalımına götürdüğü 19. -yüzyılın özellikle ikinci yarısında M. Abduh, çağdaşı birçok Osmanlı aydını gibi, İslam dünyasının içten canlanma ihtiyacını gerçekleştirecek fikri projeler üzerinde çalışmaktadır. Abduh'a göre, Müslümanların içten canlanışı ve yeniden doğuşu, dini esasların modern bir anlayışla ele alınmasına bağlıdır. İslam, tevhid prensibi ile, akla verdiği sonsuz önemle, insanı ve dünyayı bir değer olarak tanıması ile, ve buna benzer ilkeleriyle bir rönesansın manevi altyapısını hazırlayacak güce sahiptir. Ama bunun için öncelikle İslâm'ın ne olduğunu ortaya koymak ve gerçek İslâm'ı keşfetmek gerekmektedir. Her şeyden önce düşünceyi taklit zincirlerinden kurtarmak ve dini, ihtilaflar çıkmazdan önceki ilk dönemin insanları yani Selefin anladığı şekilde anlamak icap etmektedir. Din, ilk kaynaklarına döndürülmeli ve Allah'ın koyduğu akıl ölçüleri çerçevesinde değerlendirilerek sapmaları önlenmelidir. Bu yapıldığı takdirde, din ile ilim elele vererek evrenin sırlarını keşfedecek, böylece hem Allah'ın nuru tamamlanmış olacak hem de din insan tabiatına uygun olarak, modern dünyanın ihtiyaçlarına cevap verecek bir özellik kazanacaktır.VI ABSTRACT Doktora Thesis RELIGIOUS AND POLITICAL SIGHTS OF MUHAMMED ABDUH M. Abduh, like most of his contemporary Ottoman colleagues, was studying on projects which would actualize the internal renascence need of the Islamic world. Abduh has thought that this renascence of Muslims depends upon the reconsideration of religious principles with a modern perspective. Islam, with unitarian theology, by giving great importance to intelligence, by recognizing human and the world as valuable, and with its principles similar to these, has the power to prepare the sipiritual infra-strucure of a renaissance. However, for this aim, first of all, it is necessary to put forward and discover the real Islam. Before all, it is required to liberate the thought from the chains of imitation and understand the religious faith as the members of early Community understood it before dissension arose. It is also necessary to return religious learning to its original sources, and consider the religion in the scales of human intelligence that God created to repel the excesses of faith and diminish its errors and stumblings If this can be done, then religion may be counted the true friend of science, a stimulus for inquiry into the secrets of the universe. In this way, brilliance of God will be completed and Islam will gain a peculiarity which will solve the problems of the modern world.
