Özet
Okul öncesi dönem ve bu dönemde verilecek eğitimin çocuğun hayatı boyunca geliştireceği beceri alanlarının temelini oluşturduğunu düşünerek bu dönemin kritik bir dönem olarak algılanması gerekmektedir. Çocuk için gelişimsel özellikler dikkate alınarak nitelikli bir eğitim ve öğretim yapılabilmesi için bu süreci yönetecek olan okul öncesi öğretmeninin konuya yönelik farkındalığının olması önem taşımaktadır. Okul öncesi dönemle ilgili özellikleri, çocuğun nasıl algılanması gerektiğini, çocuğu tanımanın eğitim öğretim için ne anlama geldiğini iyi bilen bir okul öncesi öğretmeninin süreci daha verimli ilerleteceği ortadadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin çocuk algısını belirlemektir. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için nitel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Örneklem grubu, basit tesadüfi örneklem yöntemiyle oluşturulmuştur. 32 katılımcıya uygulanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme sorularına alınan cevaplar içerik analiziyle yorumlanmıştır. 7 sorudan oluşan görüşme sorularıyla elde edilen verilerden yola çıkarak okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin çocuk algılarının olumlu yönde olduğu belirtilebilir. Farklı demografik özelliklere sahip olmalarına rağmen bu özellikler, cevabın oluşmasında etkili olmamıştır. Başka bir ifadeyle tekrarlanan alt temada yer alan katılımcılar aynı demografik verilere sahip değildir. Bu bağlamda demografik verilerin okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin çocuk algısı üzerinde etkili olmadığı ifade edilebilir. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin başka verilerle karşılaştırılması ve benzer ya da farklı yönlerinin belirlenebilmesi için alan üzerine yapılan çalışma sayılarının artırılması gerekmektedir. Alan üzerine çalışma sayısının artması okul öncesi dönemin önemine dikkate çekebileceği gibi okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin de farkındalık düzeyini artıracaktır.

This period should be perceived as a critical period considering that the preschool period and the education to be given during this period constitute the basis of the skill areas that the child will develop throughout his life. It is important that the preschool teacher, who will manage this process, has awareness of the subject so that a qualified education and training can be carried out considering the developmental characteristics for the child. It is obvious that a pre-school teacher who knows the characteristics of the preschool period, how the child should be perceived, and what it means to know the child for education, will advance the process more efficiently. The purpose of this research is to determine the perception of preschool teachers' children. Qualitative method was used to achieve this goal. The sample group was created by simple random sampling method. The answers to the semi-structured interview questions applied to 32 participants were interpreted by content analysis. Based on the data obtained with the interview questions consisting of 7 questions, it can be stated that pre-school teachers' perceptions of children are positive. Although they have different demographic features, these features were not effective in generating the answer. In other words, the participants in the repeat sub-theme do not have the same demographic data. In this context, it can be stated that demographic data do not affect pre-school teachers' perception of children. In order to compare the data obtained in the research with other data and to determine similar or different aspects, the number of studies on the field should be increased. Increasing the number of studies on the field may draw attention to the importance of the preschool period, as well as increase the awareness level of preschool teachers.
