Özet
İnsanoğlu yaşantısını devem ettirebilme amacı ile doğayı büyük ölçüde zorlamış, kaynakları tüketmiş ve günümüzün en önemli sorunu olan çevre sorunlarının önünü açmıştır. İnsanın doğadaki mevcut kaynakları, doğanın kendisini yenileyebileceğinden daha hızlı kullanması sonucunda ortaya çıkan, tüm canlıların sağlığını olumsuz etkileyen, kalıcı sorunlara sebep olan kirlenme ve bozulmaya dayalı çevre sorunları tüm canlıları, ekosistemleri, habitatları ve popülasyonları etkileyen en önemli probleme dönüşmüştür. Bu nedenle hemen hemen her alanda/sektörde“sürdürülebilirlik”kavramı ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu sektörlerin başında turizm gelmektedir. Turizm sektörü özellikleri itibari ile çevreyle kaçınılmaz etkileşime sahiptir. Bu nedenle sürdürülebilir turizm bağlamında, turizm faaliyetlerinde çevre dostu uygulamalarla çevreye verilen zararları en aza indirgenmeye çalışılmaktadır. Yeşil yıldız, beyaz yıldız, mavi bayrak, yeşil ürün, yeşil pazarlama, yavaş şehir harekâtı gibi çeşitli sertifikasyon uygulamaları ve projeler ile turizmin sürdürülebilirliği için çaba harcanmaktadır. Belirtilen hususlar doğrultusunda bu çalışmada, sürdürülebilir turizm kapsamında turizm işletmelerinin çevreye duyarlılıkları Safranbolu destinasyonu ölçeğinde ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın yapıldığı Safranbolu şehri, Dünya Miras Şehirleri arasında yer alan önemli turizm destinasyonlarından biridir. Tarihi konakların varlığını sürdürdüğü şehirde çevreyi koruma faaliyetlerine önem verilmektedir. Bu nedenle Safranbolu'da bulunan turizm işletmeleriyle çevreye duyarlılıklarını tespit etmek üzere, iki bölümden oluşan sorularla hazırlanan mülakat formu ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme uygulanmıştır. Ortaya çıkan verilerle işletmelerin çevre dostu ürün kullanımları, su ve enerji tasarrufu uygulamaları, geri dönüşüm faaliyetleri ile ilgili sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Son kısımda ise tespit edilen eksikliklere karşı çeşitli öneriler sunulmaktadır.

Mankind has forced nature to a great extent in order to continue its life, consumed resources and paved the way for environmental problems, which are the most important problems of our time. Environmental problems based on contamination and degradation, which affect the health of all living things adversely, resulting in the human being using the existing resources in nature faster than nature can renew itself, have turned into the most important problem affecting all living things, ecosystems, habitats and populations. Therefore, the concept of lik sustainability çıkmak comes to the forefront in almost every field / sector. Tourism is one of these sectors. Tourism sector has inevitable interaction with the environment due to its characteristics. Therefore, in the context of sustainable tourism, it is tried to minimize the damages to the environment through environmentally friendly practices in tourism activities. Green star, white star, blue flag, green product, green marketing, slow city operations, such as various certification applications and projects are made efforts for the sustainability of tourism. In this study, in the context of sustainable tourism, the environmental sensitivity of tourism enterprises in the context of sustainable tourism has been handled at the Safranbolu destination scale. The city of Safranbolu, where the research is conducted, is one of the important tourism destinations among the World Heritage Cities. In the city where historical mansions exist, environmental protection activities are given importance. For this reason, a semi-structured interview was applied to the tourism establishments in Safranbolu with an interview form prepared with two-part questions to determine their sensitivity to the environment. With the data obtained, the results related to the use of environmentally friendly products, water and energy saving practices and recycling activities of the enterprises were reached. In the last part, various suggestions are presented against the deficiencies detected.
