Özet

Otizm, dünya genelinde giderek yaygınlaşan bir hale gelmektedir ve otizm eğitiminin önemi günden güne artmaktadır. Otizmli çocuğa sahip ailelerin aldıkları sosyal desteklerin toplumsal entegrasyonlarına etkisinin araştırılması, çalışmanın temel amacı olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma gereğince 100 ebeveynin katılımının olduğu bir anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre otizmli çocuğu olan ailelerin aldıkları sosyal destek ile toplumsal entegrasyon arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki vardır. Sosyal desteklerin etkililiği arttıkça toplumsal entegrasyonun da aynı düzeyde artması beklenmektedir. Otizmli çocuğa sahip olan ailelerin sosyal desteklerle birlikte çocuğun toplumda kabul görmeye başlaması, ailenin stresle başa çıkmayı öğrenmesi, ihtiyaçların karşılanma düzeyinin artması, ailenin çocuğun gelişimine daha fazla katkı sağlaması gibi sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel açıdan olumlu etkiler ile karşılaştıkları belirlenmiştir. Buna karşın otizmli çocuğu olan ailelere yönelik sosyal desteklerin henüz yeterli düzeyde olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan ebeveynlerin verdikleri yanıtlar aracılığıyla bu sonuçların elde edilmesi, çalışmanın sınırlılıklarını meydana getirmektedir.

Autism is becoming increasingly widespread throughout the world, and the importance of autism education is increasing day by day. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social support of families with children with autism on social integration. According to the study, a questionnaire was applied with the participation of 100 parents. According to the results, there is a positive relationship between social support and social integration of families with children with autism. Social integration is expected to increase at the same level as the effectiveness of social support increases. It was determined that the families who have children with autism have received positive social, economic and cultural effects such as the social support services of the child, the family's acceptance of the society, learning to cope with stress, increasing the level of the needs, and the contribution of the family to the development of the child. On the other hand, it is concluded that social support for families with children with autism is not yet sufficient. Obtaining these results through the responses of the parents participating in the study constitutes the limitations of the study.
