Özet
Amaç: Araştırma ile eğitimde tiyatronun tarihsel ve yöntembilimsel gelişiminin ve Edward Bond'un 1995 yılından itibaren çocuklar/gençler için kaleme aldığı oyunlarının eğitimde tiyatro açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın verileri, belge tarama tekniği ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Britanya'da yayımlanan ve/ya sahnelenen eğitimde tiyatro oyunları; örneklemini ise Bond'un Big Brum eğitimde tiyatro grubu için yazdığı dört eğitimde tiyatro oyunu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri içerik analizi tekniği kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Araştırmada derinlik odaklı veri toplama ve veri kaynaklı çeşitleme tekniğine yer verilmiştir. Bulgular: Belgrad eğitimde tiyatro grubu, eğitim ve tiyatro disiplinlerini bir araya getirerek geleneksel anlayıştan ayrılan etkinlikler uygulamaya geçirmiştir. Eğitimde tiyatro programları olarak nitelendirilen etkinlikler, izleyicilerin gereksinimleri doğrultusunda oyuncu/öğretmenler tarafından gerçekleştirilmektedir. Oyuncu/öğretmenler; izleyici kitlesi ve etkinlik alanları genişleyen programlara giderek bir tanınırlık kazandırmıştır. Farklı ülkelerde yaygınlaşan programların Britanya'daki önemli destekçileri arasında Edward Bond ön plana çıkmaktadır. Big Brum eğitimde tiyatro grubu ile işbirliği geliştiren oyun yazarı, genç izleyiciler için mevcut on tiyatro oyunu kaleme almıştır. Big Brum oyunları olarak da ifade edilen eserler, eğitimde tiyatro programlarının sürdürülebilirliğine önemli bir katkı sağlamakta ve çocuk – tiyatro – eğitim kavramları çerçevesinde yeni bir bakış açısı sunmaktadır. Sonuç: Bond'un çalışmaları, eğitimde tiyatro gruplarının etkinliklerini sürdürebilme mücadelesine kayda değer bir katkı sağlamıştır. Oyun yazarının son dönem oyunları, eğitimde tiyatro programlarına benzer nitelikler taşımaktadır. Oyunların tüm yaratım ve uygulama aşamalarında çocukların ve gençlerin etkin katılımı desteklenmektedir. Atölye çalışmalarında fiziksel olarak eyleme geçmeye isteklendirilen izleyiciler, düşünmeye ve sorgulamaya teşvik eden oyun kurgusu aracılığıyla duygusal ve bilişsel bir deneyimin parçası haline gelmektedir. Hazır yanıtlar sunulmayan oyunlarda izleyicilerin yaratıcılıkları harekete geçirilerek kişisel deneyimleri bağımsızlaştırılmaktadır.

Purpose: The study aims to examine the historical and methodological developments of theatre in education and to analyze British playwright Edward Bond's plays for young audiences within the context of theatre in education. Method: The data of the study was obtained through documentary research technique. The universe of the research is theatre in education programmes published/performed in Britain. The sample of the study is Edward Bond's four theatre in education plays written for Big Brum theatre in education company. The data of the study were examined by using content analysis technique. Depth-oriented data collection and data-driven diversification technique are also included in the study. Findings: The Belgrade theatre in education team had brought together the disciplines of education and theatre and put into practice activities that differentiate from traditional understanding. The activities which are defined as theatre in education programmes were performed by the actor/teachers as to the needs of the audiences. The actor/teachers enabled recognition of the programmes with increasing audience and activities. Edward Bond has come to the fore among the major supporters of the programmes that have become widespread in different countries. The playwright developed collaboration with Big Brum theatre in education company and has already written ten theatre plays. The works, also referred to as Big Brum plays, have made a significant contribution to the sustainability of the theatre in education programmes and have presented a new perspective within the context of child - theater – education concepts. Result: Edward Bond's activities have made a significant contribution to the struggle of theatre in education groups to sustain their activities. The last plays of the playwright have common characteristics with theatre in education programmes. The active participation of children and young people is supported at all stages of the creation and implementation process in the plays. The audience motivated to act in workshop activities are involved in emotional and cognitive experiences throughout the performance that encourages them to think and examine. The creativity of the audience is stimulated and their personal experiences are liberated in the plays in which ready answers are not presented.
