Özet
Amaç: Bu araştırmada Öğrenme Amaçlı Yazma etkinliklerinin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisinin belirlenmesi ve Öğrenme Amaçlı Yazma etkinlikleri ile yürütülen ders sürecinin öğrenci görüşleri açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmada nicel araştırma yaklaşımlarından yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Gaziantep ilinde bir ortaokulun iki farklı şubesinde öğrenim gören toplam 64 (DG=32, KG=32) beşinci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını belirlemek için Kültür ve Miras Ünitesi Akademik Başarı Testi (KMABT), ÖAY etkinlikleri ve yapılan uygulamalar ile ilgili görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda KMABT' den elde edilen verilerin analizinde Bağımsız Gruplar T-testi, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, akademik başarı açısından deney ve kontrol gruplarının ön test puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı, son test puanları arasında ise anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin ÖAY etkinliklerinin uygulanmasına yönelik genel anlamda benzer görüşlere sahip oldukları görülmüştür. Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda, ÖAY etkinlikleri, mevcut programa göre öğrencilerin akademik başarıları üzerinde olumlu bir etkiye sahip olduğu ve öğrencilerin etkinliklere ilişkin görüşlerinin olumlu yönde olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Purpose: In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of Learning Purpose Writing activities on students' academic success and to examine the course process which is carried out with Learning Purpose Writing activities in terms of student opinions. Method: In the research, quasi-experimental design, one of the quantitative research approaches, was used. The research group consisted of 64 (DG=32, KG=32) fifth grade students studying in two different branches of a secondary school in Gaziantep. In order to determine the academic achievements of the students as data collection tool, the Cultural and Heritage Unit Academic Achievement Test (CHAAT), WLP activities, and to determine their views on the implementations, semi-structured interview form were used. As a result of the research, Independent Groups T-test was used for the analysis of the data obtained from CHAAT and content analysis was used for the analysis of the data obtained from the semi-structured interview form. Findings: According to the findings of the research, there was no significant difference between the pre-test scores of the experimental and control groups in terms of academic achievement, but there was a significant difference between the post -test scores. In addition, it was seen that the students had similar opinions about the implementation of WLP activities in general. Conclusion: As a result of the research, it was determined that the WLP activities had a positive effect on the academic achievement of the students according to the current program and the students' views on the activities were positive.
