Özet
Bu tez çalışmasında Kant ve Borges'in zaman anlayışları karşılaştırılacaktır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, Antik Çağ'ın döngüsel zaman anlayışını temsil eden Aristoteles'in zaman anlayışı ele alınacaktır. Devamında Ortaçağ'da çizgisel zaman anlayışından hareketle Augustinus'un zaman anlayışı açıklanacaktır. Bu bölümde son olarak, Bergson'un süre kavramı ve sezgisel zaman anlayışından söz edilecektir. Çalışmanın Kant'a ayrılan bölümünde zaman, onun teorik felsefesi yoluyla açıklanmıştır. Kant, kendisinden önce zamana yüklenen anlamları yıkmıştır. Kant'ın zamana yüklediği yeni anlam, felsefede Kopernik devrimi adıyla anılır. Kopernik devrimi, nesnelerin bilgimize uyması gerektiği varsayımını dile getirir. Bu devrim; yasaları doğadan alan özne anlayışının aksine, doğaya yasaları buyuran özne anlayışını ifade eder. Bu devrime göre zaman, her türlü deneyin biricik koşulu olarak öznede bulunur. Kant'a göre zamanın kendisine deneyle ulaşılamaz. Aksine o, deneyi önceleyen bir şey olarak zihnin apriori bir formudur. Bu sebeple, ben bilinci de ancak zaman koşulu altında kendisini sezdirebilir. Edebiyatçı olarak büyülü gerçekçiliğin en önemli yazarlarından Borges ise, alışılageldik zaman tasarımlarını alt üst eden kısa öyküler kaleme almaktadır. Borges bu öyküleri kaleme alırken, metafizik sistemlerden ve idealist felsefelerden faydalanmıştır. Yazarın bu yönde incelenecek olan eserleri; 'Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius', 'Yolları Çatallanan Bahçe' ve 'Zamanın Yeni Çürütülmesi''dir. Borges için zaman problemi, benlik problemini de beraberinde getirmiştir. Şimdiki an, Herakleitos'un ırmağı gibi, sonsuzca akmaya devam eder. Zamandaki değişimin sürekliliği sebebiyle geçmişteki ben ile şimdiki ben arasında bir çatışma oluşur. Bu çalışma; biri filozof diğeri edebiyatçı olan iki düşünürün zaman anlayışlarını karşılaştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Kant'ın teorik felsefesi ve Borges'in kısa öyküleri temel alınacak şekilde bir yol izlenecektir.

In this thesis, Kant and Borges' understanding of time will be compared. In the first part of the study, Aristotle's understanding of time, which represents the cyclical understanding of time in ancient times, is discussed. In the following, Augustine's understanding of time was explained in line with the linear understanding of time in the Middle Ages. Finally, Bergson's concept of duration and intuitive time are discussed in this chapter. The time in the Kant section is explained by his theoretical philosophy. Kant demolished the meanings attributed to time before him. The new meaning Kant imposes on time is called the Copernican revolution in philosophy. The Copernican revolution expresses the assumption that objects must conform to our knowledge. This revolution; unlike the concept of the subject that takes laws from nature, it refers to the concept of subject that commands the laws to nature. According to this revolution, time is at the subject as the unique condition of any experiment. According to Kant, time itself cannot be reached by experiment. Time is an apriori form of the mind as something that precedes the experiment. For this reason, self-awareness can only sense itself under the condition of time. As one of the most important writers of magical realism as a literary writer, Borges writes short stories that disrupt conventional time designs. When Borges wrote these stories, he benefited from metaphysical systems and idealistic philosophies. The author's works to be examined in this direction are; 'Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius', 'The Garden Of Forking Paths' and 'New Refutation of Time'. For Borges, the time problem brought about the self problem. The present moment continues to flow infinitely, like the river of Heraclitus. Because of the continuity of change in time, a conflict occurs between the past self and the present self. This work; the aim of this study is to compare the understanding of time of two thinkers, one philosopher and one literary. İn this study, Kant's theoretical philosophy and Borges's short stories will be based on the way this study is exemined.
