Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı onuncu yüzyılda Basra'da ortaya çıkmış İhvân-ı Safâ adı verilen felsefî topluluğun sanat anlayışını inceleyerek aktarmaya çalışmaktır. Çalışmamız birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü bölüm olmak üzere üç ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde İhvân-ı Safâ'nın kim olduğu ve düşüncelerinde etkili olan tarihi arka plan; ikinci bölümde genel olarak felsefeleri ve felsefî düşüncelerinin temelini oluşturan bazı kavramlar; üçüncü bölümde ise İhvân-ı Safâ'nın sanat anlayışı ve sanat felsefesi ile ilgili olan temel kavramlar üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bunların yanı sıra kimi zaman etkilendikleri Antik Yunan ve İslâm filozoflarının görüşlerine kimi zaman da delil olarak gösterdikleri Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'den âyetler ve hadîslere yer verilmiştir. İhvân'ın sanat anlayışını akıl, nefs, hikmet, hakîkat gibi kavramlar şekillendirmektedir. Bu çerçevede onların, felsefenin konusu olarak aklı, dînin konusu olarak nefsi ve sanatın konusu olarak da hem aklın hem nefsin nihâî amacı olan hakîkat ve hikmete yönelmeyi anladığı görülmektedir. Bu çerçevede sanat ne dinden ne de felsefeden bağımsızdır. Sanatların da kendi içinde değer bakımından sınıflandırılmaları gerekmektedir. İhvân bu sınıflandırmayı sanatın madde ile olan ilişkisini göz önüne alarak yapmaktadır.

The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of art of the philosophical community called Ikhwan al-Safa, which emerged in the tenth century Basra. Our study consists of three main sections: first, second and third chapters. In the introductory section, the historical background of who Ikhwan-I Safa is and its influence on his thoughts; in the second part, the concepts that form the basis of his philosophies and philosophical thoughts; in the third part, the basic concepts of Ikhwan-I Safa's understanding of art and philosophy of art are emphasized. In addition to these, verses and hadiths from the Koran, which the ancient Greek and Islamic philosophers sometimes influenced, sometimes show as evidence for their views, are included. Ikhwan's understanding of art forms concepts such as mind, nafs (soul, psyche), wisdom, and truth. In this context, it is seen that they understand the mind as the subject of philosophy, the nafs as the subject of religion, the mind as the subject of art as the subject of both the mind and the nafs are understood to be the ultimate goal of truth and wisdom. In this context, art is neither independent of religion nor philosophy. Art also needs to be classified in terms of value. Ikhwan makes this classification considering the relationship between art and matter.
