Özet
Bu tezde zaman kavramı,“bilgi problemi olarak zaman”anlayışını temsil eden Leibniz-Kant,“varlığın ufku olarak zaman”anlayışını temsil eden Hegel-Heidegger ve“bir sentez olarak zaman”anlayışını temsil eden Bergson gibi Batılı filozoflar ekseninde ele alınmıştır. Bunun sonucunda,“Leibniz'den Heidegger'e”felsefi zaman anlayışının nasıl evrildiği gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Zaman anlayışının Batı düşüncesindeki ilgili filozoflarca, nasıl birbirlerinden farklılık gösterdiği, bu manâda zamanı anlamlandırmanın farklı biçimleri de olabileceği ve zaman anlayışlarının Heidegger'e gelinceye kadar nasıl bir dönüşüm geçirdiği anlatılmaktadır. Felsefenin önemli konularından birisi olan zaman, daha önce birçok bilimsel çalışmanın ana konusunu oluşturmuştur. Ancak bu çalışmanın özgünlüğü, zaman kavramı tartışmasının ana damarlarını oluşturan beş farklı perspektifi bir araya getirmesinden ileri gelmektedir. Bu bağlamda tez, Leibniz, Kant, Hegel, Bergson, Heidegger özelinde, zaman kavramının tek bir bilimsel metin çerçevesinde incelenmesi, bu bakış açılarının konuya eğilişindeki farklılıkların vurgulanması bakımından önem arz etmektedir. Böyle bir yeniden ele alışın/okumanın zamanın anlaşılması bakımından geniş bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirme yapmaya imkân verdiği kanaatinde ve farkındalık oluşturma gayesindeyiz.

This thesis discusses the concept of time regarding the views of Western philosophers such as Leibniz and Kant on the one hand, who represent the conception of time“as a problem of knowledge,”Hegel and Heidegger, who represent the conception of time“as the horizon of being,”as well as Bergson, who speaks for the conception of“time as a synthesis.”It demonstrates how the philosophical concept of time evolved“from Leibniz to Heidegger”. It elucidates how various Western philosophers understood time differently from each other and how the conceptions of time transformed up until Hegel. In this sense, it demonstrates that time can be conceptualized in different ways. Time is one of the important topics of philosophy and it has been the subject of many scientific studies before. Yet this thesis offers an original contribution in that it brings together five different standpoints that consitute the main veins of the discussion on the concept of time. Examination of the concept of time according to Leibniz, Kant, Hegel, Bergson and Heidegger in a single scientific text is important in that it emhasizes the differences between how different viewpoints approach the subject differently. We believe that such a re-examination/reading allows room for an assessment of the concept of time from a wider point of view and we aim to raise awareness on the issue.
