Özet
“İslam tarihinin ilk dönemini oluşturan asr-ı saâdet çağının en önemli hadise-lerinden birisi hiç şüphesiz Mekke'den Medine'ye hicretten hemen sonra inşâ edi-len Mescid-i Nebevî ve onun bünyesindeki Suffe'dir. ”Asr-ı Saâdet'te Suffe; Doğu-şu, Önemi ve İşlevi" konulu bu tez çalışmasında Suffe ve ashabı derinlemesine in-celenmiştir. Mescid-i Nebî'nin bölümlerinden olan Suffe'nin doğuşu, mîmari yapı-sı, sakinleri, işlevi, asr-ı saâdet ile birlikte İslam tarihindeki yeri ve önemi araştı-rılmıştır. Böylece Suffe'nin İslam'ın Hz. Peygamber dönemindeki sosyal ve kültü-rel konumunun açıklığa kavuşturulması hedeflenmiştir. Çalışmada ilk dönem İslam kaynakları başta olmak üzere konuyla ilgili günümüze kadar gelen eserler taranıp gözden geçirilmiş, tezimizle ilgili bilgiler toplanıp tahlil edilmiş ve elde edilen sonuçlar belli bir usul dairesinde tasnif edilmiştir.

In this thesis, I analyze Suffah's formation, importance and role in the first years of Islam ('Asr as-Saadah). I argue that the constitution of the Suffah platform in a part of the Prophet's mosque (masjid an-Nabi) in Medina - after the migration from Mecca - represents one of the most important events in the first age of Islam. Therefore, I discuss to what extent Suffah's architecture, function and social life took a significant place in Islamic history. My goal is to understand the impact of Suffah platform on social, cultural and economic features of Islamic civilization. In this search for Suffah's impacts I look at Islamic history through a global appoach that starts from the 7th century until today.
