Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı muhasebe meslek mensuplarının mesleklerini icra ederken karşılaşmış oldukları sorunları tespit etmek ve sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirebilmektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini İzmir'de faaliyet gösteren Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavirler oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde Türkiye'de muhasebe mesleği ve gelişim süreci ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde benzer çalışmalara ait literatür taraması gerçekleştirilerek meslek mensuplarının yaşamış oldukları sorunlar ile bu sorunlara ait beklentiler tespit edilerek açıklanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde anket çalışması mevcuttur. Anket çalışması internet ortamında Google Drive ile hazırlanarak İzmir Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavirler Odası aracılığı ile üyelere gönderilmiştir. Gelen sonuçlar IBM SPSS 20'de analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucu meslek mensuplarının en çok katılım gösterdikleri sorunlar; iş yükünün çok fazla olması, mesleki hatalardan dolayı maruz kalınan maddi sorumlulukların ağır olması, mali tatilin yasada olmasına karşın uygulanmıyor olması şeklindedir. Devlet dairelerinde bürokratik işlemlerin fazla olması, ücret tahsilatında yaşanan sıkıntılar, mükelleflerin evrakları zamanında getirmemesi, haksız rekabet, etik ikilem, eğitimlerin yetersizliği diğer tespit edilen sorunlar arasındadır.

The aim of this study is to identify the problems and expectation of professional accountants and to propose solutions to these problems. The sample of the study consists of the Certified Public Accountants operating in İzmir. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, the accountant profession in Turkey and the current developments are explained. In the second part, the literature review of similar studies was carried out and the problems experienced by the members of the profession and their expectations are classified and discussed. In the third part, there is a survey. The questionnaire was prepared via Google Drive on the internet and sent to the members through the İzmir Chamber of Certified Public Accountants. The results were analyzed in IBM SPSS 20. As a result of the analysis, the most common problems of the members of the profession are; the workload is too high, the financial responsibilities incurred due to professional errors are severe, and the financial recess is not implemented despite the law. Excessive bureaucratic procedures in the government departments, fee collection problems, taxpayers not bringing the documents in time, unfair competition, ethical dilemma, lack of training are among the other identified problems.
