Sabit A?AO?LU Bu çalışmada, domatesin çeşitli olgunluk dönem lerindeki meyvelerden alman tohumların çimlenme ve sür me özellikleri tesbit edilerek tohumluk üretimi için uy gun hasat olgunlukları araştırılmıştır. Bitkisel mater yal olarak H-2274 ve Es-58 (2889)F çeşitlerinin kullanıl dığı araştırmada Villalom ve Bryan (197 0) 'a göre, olgun luk dönemleri j“Yeşil Olum”,“Renk Dönüşümü”,“Pembe Olum”,“Kırmızı Olum”, olmak üzere dört sınıfa ayrılmış ve her gruptan meyveler ayrılarak tohumları alınmıştır. Ayrıca yeşil olum, renk dönüşümü ve pembe olum dönemlerindeki meyvelerden bir bölümü bir hafta oda sıcaklığında bekle tilerek ol gunlaşt irilmiş ve daha sonra tohumları çıkartı larak hasat sonu olgunlaştırmanın tohumların biyolojik özellikleri üzerine etkisi de araştırılmıştır. Yıkama yöntemi ile. çıkartılan tohumlar daha son ra kurutulmuş ve hem hasadı izleyen günlerde, hem de ilk baharda normal ekim döneminde çimlendirme ve sürme dene melerine sokulmuştur. ISTA standartlarına göre yapılan çimlendirme ve sürme denemelerinin sonunda yeşil olum dönemi tohumlarının çimlenme ve sürme güçlerinin düşük olduğu;“Renk Dönüşümü”,“Pembe Olum”ve“Kırmızı Olum”dönemleri tohumlarının çimlenme ve sürme yetenekleri ara sında önemli fark olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca hasat sonrası bir hafta bekleterek ol gunlaşt ir ılma işlemi de tohumların çimlenme ve sürme güçlerini yükseltmiştir.

Sabit A?AO?LÜ Germination and seedling emergence abilities of seeds of tomato fruits harvested at different maturity stages were investigated to deterr-ine the most suitable maturity stages for seed production purposes. In this study, that H 2274 and Es 58(2889)F tomato cv. were used, the maturity stages were classified in four groups as.“typically-mature green (TMG) ”,“breaker <B) ”,“light pink (LP)”and“table-ripe (TR) ”according to Villalcm and Bryan (197 0) and seeds from each group were tested. Additionally, a part of fruits harvested at TMG, B and LP stages was held at room-temperature for a week for ripenning and using their seeds, the effect of post-harvest ripenning on. the biological properties of seeds was studied. Seeds, derived of the fruits by washing method and left to dry, were sown following the harvest and also in normal sowing period in spring and tested for their germination and seedling emergence abilities. At the end of the trials, carried out in convenience with ISTA standards, it was concluded that the germination and seedling emergence of the seeds of TGM fruits were low, whereas there was no significant difference between the seeds of B, LP and TR maturity- stag e fruits in these respects. Post-harvest storing process of the fruitsincreased the germination and seedling emergence percentage of seeds.
