Özet
Bu çalışma bir inceleme yardımıyla 1980 sonrası Türkiye mimarlığının Türkiye ortamı dışındaki mimarlık tutumları ile ilintili olarak temsiliyet sınırlarına eleştirel bir bakış sunmaktadır. Mimarlıkta postmodernizm'in sağladığı çoğulcu ortam ile, Türkiye'de mimarlığın temsiliyet sınırları genişlemiştir. Bu çalışma, genel olarak, postmodernizmle beraber gelen problemleri, özelde ise bu problemlerin Türkiye ortamındaki özgün yansımalarına eğilmektedir. Bir başka deyişle, problem popüler eğilimlerle, imajların tüketilmesi ile ortaya çıkan kitsch ve Türkiye ortamında özgün ve kalıcı çözümler Varasındaki ayırdın, 1980lerde popülerlik kazanan eleştiriler doğrultusundaki imkansızlığı olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Postmodernizm'in gelişiyle önem kazanan genel eğilimleri, mimarların açıklamaları ve tasarımlarının temsiliyet özellikleri gözönüne alınarak, sınırları üçlü bir sınıflandırmayla tanımlanmış bir inceleme yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmada, kuvvetli örnek teşkil eden mimarlar yani Doğan Tekeli-Sami Sisa, Merih Karaaslan ve Turgut Cansever'in tasarımlan incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bu ortamı zemin kabul eden ve birbirinden farklı gibi sunulan eğilimlerin özde ne kadar farklılaştığı sorgulanmaya çalışılmıştır.

This study presents a critical look through a survey, in terms of the representational limits of the architectural practice of Turkey after 1980s. With the medium acquired by postmodernism in architecture, namely the pluralist medium, the representational limits of architecture in Turkey is widened. The survey focuses on the problems that are brought about together with postmodernism, in general, and the reflections of those problems to the architectural medium of Turkey. Namely, the problem comes out as the impossibility of the distinction between the examples of popular inclinations, kitsch, that comes with a dissemination of images and authentic, permanent msolutions in the context of Turkey due to a general eriticisin on Turkish architecture that gains currency in the 1980s. A case study under the borders drawn by a threefold classification is done, taking the general tendencies that has gained significance with postmodernism in Turkey depending on the declarations of the architects and the representational features of their designs. in the case study the works of the architects that provide us with strong examples, namely Doğan Tekeli-Sami Sisa, Merih Karaaslan and Turgut Cansever's designs are examined. Finally, the distinction between those inclinations that seem to be diverging from each other is tried to be discussed.
