Özet

Bu çalışma, MEB tarafından 2010 yılında uygulamaya konulan FATİH Projesi hakkında ortaokul matematik öğretmenlerinin görüşlerini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmış üç aşamadan oluşan bir karma araştırmadır. İlk aşamada yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak 8 matematik öğretmeniyle görüşme yapılmış ve kayıt altına alınmıştır. Yapılan bu görüşmelerin sonuçları analiz edilerek bulgular incelenmiştir. İkinci aşamada elde edilen sonuçlara göre bir soru havuzu oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan soru havuzundaki sorular uzman görüşüne sunulmuş ve 62 maddelik pilot bir ölçek elde edilmiştir. Pilot ölçek Türkiye genelinde 213 ortaokul matematik öğretmenine uygulanmış, çıkan sonuçlar faktör analizi, güvenirlik ve geçerlik analizine tabi tutulmuş ve 37 maddelik nihai ölçek elde edilmiştir. Nihai ölçeğin sonuna öğretmenlerin matematik öğretiminde projeyi kullanırken karşılaştıkları teknik aksaklıklar ile ilgili derinlemesine bilgi almak için açık uçlu bir soru eklenmiştir. Üçüncü aşamada ise elde edilen nihai ölçek Mersin ili genelindeki devlet okullarında görevli 115 ortaokul matematik öğretmenine uygulanmış ve bulgular betimsel istatistik, varyans analizi ve t-testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre projenin matematik öğretimine katkıları alt boyutu iyi düzeyde, dinamik matematik ve geometri yazılımlarının kullanımı alt boyutu zayıf düzeyde, hizmet içi eğitimler ve EBA kullanımı alt boyutu orta düzeyde, etkileşimli tahta kullanımı iyi düzeyde çıkmıştır. Projenin geneline ilişkin görüşler de orta düzeyde olumludur. Açık uçlu soruya göre ise öğretmenlerin büyük çoğunluğu proje donanım altyapısını ve teknik destek hizmetini yetersiz bulmuştur. Öğretmenler, bu tip teknik aksaklıkların giderilmesi ve hizmet içi eğitimlerin daha nitelikli hale getirilmesi durumunda projeden daha çok faydalanabilecekleri görüşündedirler.

This study is a mixed research study which was made with measuring tool developed by the researcher in order to reveal the opinions of secondary school mathematics teachers about FATIH Project which was implemented by Ministry of Education in 2010. In this study, mixed method research consisting of three stages was used. In the first stage, 8 mathematics teachers were interviewed by using semi-structured interview form and their voices were recorded. The results of these interviews were analyzed and the findings were examined. According to the results obtained in the second stage, a question pool was created. The questions in the pool of questions were presented to the expert opinion and a pilot scale of 62 items was obtained. Pilot scale was administered to 213 secondary school math teachers across Turkey, the results were subjected to the factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis and a final 37-item scale was obtained. At the end of the final scale, an open-ended question was added to get in-depth knowledge about the technical problems that teachers encountered when using the project in mathematics teaching. In the third stage, the obtained final scale was applied to 115 secondary school mathematics teachers working in public schools across Mersin and the findings were analyzed using descriptive statistics, variance analysis and t-test. According to the findings obtained from the research, the contribution of the project to mathematics teaching was at a good level, the use of dynamic mathematics and geometry software sub-dimension was weak, the in-service training and the use of EBA sub-dimension at a moderate level, interactive board usage was at a good level. The views on the overall project are also moderately positive. According to our open-ended question, the vast majority of teachers found the project hardware infrastructure and technical support service insufficient. Teachers are of the opinion that they can benefit more from the project in case of eliminating such technical problems and making in-service trainings more qualified.
