Özet
Tutum kavramı insan yaşantısındaki pek çok alana etki etmektedir. Dil öğrenimi süreci de bu alanlardan biridir. Yabancı bir dil öğreniminde öğrenilen dile yönelik tutum, bireyin yabancı dilin kendisine olduğu gibi o dilin öğretildiği dersi de sevmesine etki etmektedir. Öğrenilen yabancı dile yönelik tutum ne kadar olumlu olursa o dili öğrenmeye yönelik motivasyon da o ölçüde yüksek olmaktadır. Aynı zamanda öğrenilmesi amaçlanan yabancı dile yönelik tutum olumlu yönde geliştikçe, o dili kullanan topluma ait kültürün benimsenmesi daha kolay olacak ve bireyin kültür şoku yaşama olasılığı düşecektir. Türkiye'de öğrenim gören yabancı öğrencilerin Türkçeye yönelik tutumları bahsedilen nedenlerden dolayı onların dil öğrenme süreçlerinde önem arz etmektedir. Bireylerin yabancı bir dile yönelik tutumları, o dil ile ilişkili diğer unsurlardan da etkilenmektedir. Bu nedenle ilgili araştırma kapsamında dile yönelik tutuma etki ettiği çeşitli çalışmalarda söz edilmiş olan toplum, kültür ve ders ortamı (öğretmen, öğrenci ve müfredat) gibi unsurları da içinde barındıran bir ölçek hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmacı, araştırma evreni içerisinde yer alan öğrencilerin bir kısmı ile onların Türkçeye yönelik tutumlarını etkileyen unsurları tespit etmek amacıyla yüz yüze görüşmüştür. Bu görüşmelerden ve alan yazın ışığında 37 maddeden oluşan taslak bir tutum ölçeği oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan taslak ölçek Kastamonu TÖMER'de öğrenim gören 229 öğrenciye sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın ardından ölçek 22 maddeye indirgenmiştir. Son hâlini alan ölçek Kastamonu Üniversitesindeki çeşitli fakültelerde öğrenim görmekte olan 243 yabancı öğrenciye sunulmuştur. Saha çalışması sonucunda ise öğrencilerin Türkçeye yönelik tutumları genel oranda olumlu düzeyde bulunmuş ve tutumlarının cinsiyet, yaş ve gelir düzeyi ve geldikleri ülke değişkenlerinden etkilenmezken Türkçeyi öğrenme sebeplerinden etkilendiği bulunmuştur.

The concept of attitude affects many areas of human life. The language learning process is one of the areas affected by the attitudes of individuals. The attitude towards foreign language, influences whether an individual likes or dislikes foreign language lesson. The more positive the attitude towards language itself, the higher the motivation to learn that language. At the same time, as the attitude towards the foreign language that is intended to be develops positively, the adoption of the culture of the community using that language will be easier and the individual's probability of experiencing cultural shock will decrease. The attitudes towards Turkish language of foreign students studying in Turkey, is important in their language learning process due to the mentioned reasons. Attitudes of individuals towards a foreign language are also influenced by other elements associated with that language. For this reason, a scale which includes elements such as the society, culture and classroom environment (teacher, student and curriculum) which were mentioned in various studies affecting the attitude towards languages has been prepared. The researcher interviewed students face-to-face in order to identify some of the factors affecting their attitudes towards Turkish language. A draft attitude scale consisting of 37 items was formed in the light of these interviews and the literature. The draft scale was presented to students in Kastamonu TOMER. After this study, the scale was reduced to 22 items. The final scale was presented to foreign students studying at various faculties in Kastamonu University. The reliability coefficient of the scale was found as .952. As a result of the field study, students' attitudes towards Turkish language were found on positive level and their attitudes were not affected by gender, age and income level and country variables but it was found that they were influenced by their purpose of learning Turkish language.
