Summary Yolculuk / Journey is a semi - documentary, dramatic short film. The starting point of the film, are the first eighteen couplets of the poem“Mesnevi”by the great philosopher Mevlâna. Constituting the essences of poetry, these couplets are cries of love and joy of the language of the reed, hidden in nature. In fact, the human is the key figure here. The 'Ney', the reed, is only a symbol. It is the perfect man, who calls out to the world throught the seven holes on the reed which has its head cut off, its interior carved out and whose colour has turned yellow. This film is a study, presenting an original interpretation of the nature, human and sound association which derives from Mevlâna' s world of poetry. 64It comprises a process describing how the voice reaches out to poetry throught the human hand. 65
