Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı çağdaş sanat içerisinde önemli bir yere sahip olan Performans Sanatının yükseköğretim görsel sanatlar eğitiminde hem teorik hem uygulama olarak öğrencilere anlatılmasının öğrenci üzerindeki etkisinin ne yönde olacağını tespit etmektir. Araştırma 2015-2016 bahar döneminde Gazi Üniversitesi Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Resim-İş Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı'nda eğitim gören 11 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Deneysel atölye dersinde eğitim alan dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri ile gerçekleşen çalışma dokuz hafta sürmüştür. Araştırmada nitel ve nicel araştırma desenlerini içeren karma yöntem uygulanmıştır. Araştırma öncesinde Performans Sanatına yönelik genel bilgi düzeyini ölçme amaçlı yapılan ön test ile araştırma sonrasında yapılan son test arasında anlamlı bir fark ortaya çıkmıştır. Uygulama öncesinde yapılan Performans Sanatına yönelik ilgi düzeylerini ölçen anket sorularına ilgisiz yanıtlar veren öğrenciler dokuz hafta sonrasında Performans Sanatına karşı olumlu bakış açısı geliştirmişlerdir. Araştırma sürecinde Performans Sanatına yönelik hem teorik hem de uygulamalı işlenen derslerde öğrencilerin derse aktif katılımını sağlamak amacıyla drama yönteminden faydalanılmış bu sayede öğrenciler derste bedenleri ile uygulamalar yapmaya cesaretlendirilmiştir. Dokuz hafta sonunda elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda öğrenciler çocuk gözüyle dünya teması, altında kendilerine yakın hissettikleri bir konu başlığı ile çocukların yaşadıkları zorluklara dikkat çeken canlı performans sunumu gerçekleştirmişlerdir. Sergi salonunda gerçekleşen canlı performans sergisinden sonra öğrencilere yapılan sergiye yönelik memnuniyet anketi sonuçlarına ve öğrenci günlüklerine bakıldığında öğrencilerin hepsinin birbirine benzer yanıtlar vererek süreçten ve sergiden memnun kaldıkları bundan sonra Performans Sanatına karşı daha olumlu tutum içinde olacakları anlaşılmıştır.

The aim of this research is to determine the effects of theoretical and practical education of performance art, which has an important place in contemporary art, on students of visual arts departments. The research was carried out with 11 students of Department of Art Education in Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts. The study was conducted with fourth grade students in the experimental workshop class and lasted for nine weeks. This study applied a mixed method including qualitative and quantitative research designs.A significant difference was found between the pretest scores for measuring the level of general knowledge about performance art and the posttest scores which was conducted after the research. Prior to the research, students had indifferent responses to the survey questions measuring their level of interest in performance art but they developed a positive attitude towards performance art after nine weeks. During the research process, drama method was used in order to ensure the active participation of the students in both theoretical and applied classes. Accordingly, students were encouraged to practice with their bodies.In line with the curriculum of nine-week education period, the students presented live performances based on a selected topic that they felt close to them under the theme of“world through the eyes of children”and these performances drew attention to the difficulties experienced by children. Following the live performances in the exhibition hall, a satisfaction survey was applied. The results of the survey and students' diaries revealed that all of the students were similarly satisfied with the process and the exhibition. Furthermore, they are expected to have a more positive attitude towards the performance art in the future.
