Özet
ÖZET Türk edebiyatxnda, edebî eserlerin tümünü bir tek kavramda toplayan isimlendirme geleneği olnadxgx için, Ondokuzuncu asxrda Batx'daki bu yönde isimlendirmenin etkisiyle ve çeşitlenen edebî türlerin hepsini anlatmak üzere başlayan kavram tartxsmalarx,“edebiyat”kavramxnx yaygxn kullanxma tasxmxstxr. İki asra yakxn bir süredir tartxsxlan edebiyat kavramx, bugün dahi tek ve kesin bir tarife kavuşamamxş; böylece terimleşme özelliği kazanamamxstxr. Bütün dünyada“edebiyat”bir“bilim dalx”olarak kabul görürken; kavramlarxnx henüz tarif lendirememiş Türk edebiyat x, terminoloji problemini aşamadxğx için bir“Türk Edebiyat Bilimi”oluşturamamxştxr. Mesele, edebiyat kavramx başta olmak üzere, pek çok kavrama tarif kazandxrmak yolunda sistematik çalxşmalarla çözümlenebilir. Bunun için yapxlacak calxsmalarxn basxnda, daha önce yapxlmxs tariflerin gözden geçirilmesi gelmelidir. Bu tez çalxşmasxnda, Türkiye'de daha önce edebiyat kavramx üzerine yapxlmxs tariflerin ve Türkçe'ye tercüme yoluyla girip, Türk edebiyatcxlarxnx bu mânâda etkilemiş yazarlarxn görüşlerinin derlenmesi, tasnifi ve edebiyat teorisiyle ilgileri gözler önüne serilmeye çalxşxlmxştxr. ABSTRACT As the tradition of classifying the literary works under a single concept in Turkish Literature did not exist, the concept arguments which have arisen from the effects of Western Literature during 19th Century that aimed at classifying all kinds of literary works has led to the emergence of“Literature”as a common concept. This concept of literature which has been argued or debated for about two centuries, has still could not gain a single and final definition, and therefore it could not acquire the property of having termed under a conception. While“literature ”is accepted as a“Scientific Branch”all over the world, the Turkish Literature of which the concepts have not been defined yet, could therefore could not for a“Science of Turkish Literature”. The problem can be solved through systematic works by acquiring a definition to several concepts and primarily to the concept of literature itself. In this, the first work to be performed is to review the definitions that have been made up to now. In this paper, I have attempted to uncover the literature concepts that have already been made including the ones that were entered into the Turkish Literature in the form of translations which have influenced the views of the authors with respect to their meanings as for the arrangement and sorting out of their views, as well as their relation with respect to the theory of literature.
