Özet (Çeviri)

264 SUMMARY The country of ögvatan is situated at a distance of 75 km to the nortftemesat of Kayseri. It is smiouMed by Sanoglan in the east, Felahiye in the vest, Bünyan and central Keasinan counties in the south end Çayıralan, a count;; of the city of Yozgat, in the north. It is one of the recently formed counties of Kayseri. It covers en area of 100 sq. km., including the central country, a small town and four villages. Although it is 1300 m above the sea level, it looks Eke a pot surronded by mountains. Therefore, it was called“Çtıkıtr”forcentoms. Osvatan has been used as an area of residence by several communities throughout from the Korsanız end Zırha Castles by the river Kızılırmak that it was an important place in the history. There ere also some ancient coins, pots, crockery found underground by chance end they are displayed in Kayseri museum. After the 1071 Malazgirt Victory, Clans end Tribes from Oğuz and Turkoman settled around it and made it a Turkish home. In 1831, the population of male people in ögvatan, then called Çukur, was counted for military purpose and it consisted of 70 houses and had population of 210 male people. ¥/hile Çukur was a town of Felahiye from 1957 to 1990, its name was changed to ösvatan and become a county in 1 990. In this study, ozvatan and its neighbourhood were investigated in folk literature, folklore and ethctgraphy, and bibliography, searching investigation, interviewing and observation methods were used.In conclusion, it has been determined that folk songs, puzzles, proverbs, tales, vokes, legends etc. are about to lose their importance on people. In öz vatan, neighbourhood relations, traditions for guests, kitchen culture still play an important role in people's lives. Whereas, enterainments, games, wedding traditions, clothing and some other habits seem to get lost. Socio economic changes in all parts of Turkey have effected özvatanend other parts of Turkey especially, customs and traditional beliefs. Therefore, some precautions should immediately be taken to keep mem continuing by those ?/ho are enterested in Turkish culture, art and literature.
