Özet (Çeviri)
The Niger Delta zone of Nigeria has in recent time become synonymous with conflicts and it became a thing of great concern not only to the affected people of the Niger Delta. The international community's has expressed dismay over the recent rate of youth restiveness had been attributed to some internal and external phenomena. In cause of this research, some hypothesis were postulated with the view of finding the root causes of the youth restiveness. A theoretical framework based on conflict theory from Karl Marx, Simmel Weber and Dahrendorf's perspective were adopted. A critical exposition of the various internal and external variables perceived as thorn in the flesh in the social relation of production between the multinationals/ State and the ONELGA people were made. We also employed the descriptive research design. Basically the social survey method was used to enhance adequate data collection. The result of the findings reveals that both the internal and external phenomena vis-a-vis the vulnerability of conflicting interests' parties etc are responsible for the conflicts. Sequels to this, certain suggestions were posited as the sine qua non to resolving the conflict.
