Özet
Heykel, tarihi seyri içinde farklı dönemlerde ve coğrafyalarda, farklı amaçlarla değişik fonksiyon ve şekillerde ortaya konmuştur. Önceleri temsili bir sanat yapıtı olarak değerlendirilen heykel, XX. yüzyılda sanat, kültürel ve ekonomik hayatta yaşanan köklü değişimlerden ve bu yüzyıldaki teknolojik gelişmelerden de etkilenerek yeni bir cehreye bürünmüş, adeta kendini yeniden yaratmıştır. XX. yüzyılda günlük yaşamdan pek çok sanat dalına kadar hayatın hemen her alanına yansıyan düşünce değişiminden heykel sanatı da kendi üzerine düşeni almıştır. XX. yüzyıla gelinceye kadar heykelde boşluk-doluluk ögeleri fazla önemsenmemiştir. XX. Yüzyıldan itibaren boşluk-doluluk ögeleri daha önemli görülmüş, bu da mekân unsurunu ön plana çıkarmıştır. Değişen sosyo-kültürel yaşamın ilgi, istek, gereksinimleri ve sanat anlayışı ve teknolojik gelişmelerle heykelde; yeni farklı teknolojik malzemelerle, yeni tekniklerle yeni farklı anlatım biçimleri oluşturulmuş. Yeni farklı anlatım biçimleriyle teknoloji, yapım ve sanayi ürünleri gibi yeni konuları, temaları anlatmaya başlamıştır. Sanatın hemen her dalında görülen disiplinler arası yakınlaşma ve geçişler heykelde de görülmüştür. Heykel de mimari, endüstri tasarımı gibi farklı sanatlarla yakınlaşmış, belirgin ve keskin çizgileri eritmiş ve silikleştirmiştir. Bu araştırma, İlk Çağ'dan günümüze kadarki süreçte heykel sanatında heykel-fonksiyonellik ilişkisini konu edinmektedir. Araştırmanın ilk bölümünü heykel ve işlevsellik kavramlarının tanımları oluşturmakta. İkinci bölümde ise tarihsel süreç içinde heykel-işlevsellik ilişkisi incelenmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde, XX. yüzyıl modern heykel sanatında işlevsellik; Konstrüktivizm, Bauhaus Okulu, Groupe Espace ve Public Art bağlamında bu ilişkiler ele alınıp irdelenmektedir. Dördüncü bölümde ise Çağdaş heykel sanatında işlevsellik bazı alt bölümlere ayrılarak incelenmiş ve çalışmanın beşinci bölümünde ise işlevsel heykel sanatı üzerine kişisel çalışmalar yer almakta ve son bölümde sonuç ve değerlendirme ile sonuçlandırılmaktadır.

In the course of its history, the statue was revealed in different periods and geographies in different ways for different purposes. The statue, which was previously considered as a representative art type, was considered as art, culture and economic life in The Twentieth century and the technological developments in this century, influenced by the deep-rooted changes and has become a new faces, almost re-created itself. From daily life to many branches of art in the twentieth century, the art of sculpture has also taken its place from the thought changes reflected in almost every aspect of life. Until the twntiethcentury, the elements of emptiness and fullness in the statue were not very important. Space-filled items have been seen more important from the beginning of the twentieth century, which brought the space element to the fore. In sculpture with the interest, desire, needs and art understanding of changing socio-cultural life and technological developments, new technological materials and new techniques have been created in different forms of expression. He started to explain new topics and themes such as technology, construction and industrial products in different forms of expression. Interdisciplinary convergence and transitions seen in almost every branch of art have also been seen in sculpture. The sculpture has also been approached by different Arts such as architecture, industrial design, and has melted and silicate clear lines. This research deals with the relationship between sculpture and function in the art of sculpture from the early ages to the present. The first part of the research is the definition of the concepts of sculpture and functionality. The second part examines the relationship between sculpture and functionality in the historical process. Chapter three, In the context of modern sculpture art in the twentieth century , these relationships are examined and examined in the context of constructivism, Bauhaus School, Groupe Espace and public art. In the fourth part, the relationship between sculpture and function in Contemporary sculpture art was studied and in the fifth part of the study, personal studies on functional sculpture art are taken place and the final section is finalized with the result and evaluation.
