SUMMARY“The protection of the Creditors of Join Stock Company”is the title of our thesis which has five main chapters. In the first chapter, the capacity of Joint Stock Companies to act as a debtor or creditor and the acguisition of the status of being a creditor towards the joint stock companies is analized. In the second, third and fourth chapters, the legal protection of the rights of the creditors is evaluated together with general princeples applicable to joint stock companies. In the fifth and the last chapter we analized the pntection of the creditors of subsidiary companies and since there is a legal vacuum in Turkish law on this issue examples on the matter are given from foreign legal systems. 134
