A great number qf reference books showing the historical development of Turkish language and explaining the various aspects of Turkish cultural history can be found in our libraries. Terceme-i Faslu'I-tfitab, translated from Hoca Muhammed Parsa's Persian work Faşlu'1-Hitöb, one of the XV. century Ancient Anatolian Turkish works, by Mûsâ bin Hacı Hüseyin İznikî, has an important place among these reference books. Faşlu'1-Hitâb, is a prose work about“classical mysticism”. în connection with Hoca Muhammed Parsa's belonging to Nakşibendi tariqat, mainly the essentrals, principles and moral views of Nakşibendi tariqat are mentioned in the book. Faşlu'1-Şitâb, which includes topics such as“Tariqat, Truth and Wisdem”aroused a great interest within its period. Mûsâ bin Hacı Hüseyin İznikî is a writer known for his works of translation and his own books in our literature. Terceme-i Faşlu'1-Hifâb, which is considered to be translated by the writer, between the end of XIV. and the beginning of XV. centuries is one of the significant works of Ancient Anatolian Turkish. The work is important in terms of its subject-matter and also because it reflects the characteristics of the language of its period. In Terceme-i Faslu'l-Hitdb, the characteristics of Ancient Anatolian Turkish language are dominant. The effects of Persian language characteristics (words, idioms, phrases suffixes, prefixes, metaphors etc.) and Persian syntax can also be clearly seen. Terceme-i Faslu'l-Hitab, is a significant work both because of its rich Turkish vocabulary and also because it helps us to follow the historical development of Turkish language. In this research, the aim is to examine the important works of Turkish language spoken in Turkey, which is the south-east branch of the Turkish language, in terms of language and cultural history through scientific methods and to introduce them to the world of science. These studies will help to enlighten many dark points in our language and culture and will also make a contributien to illuminate many aspects of our social, cultural, religious life and our history of philosophy.
