SUMMARY In this study, I wanted to show how emerges a relation between a trade union and a socialist party. In the first chapter, we discussed what is trade unionist action and its limitations through a socialist revolution.Fve concentrated on Marxist analyses of trade unions and strategies on the attempts of organized workers to change their world and develop their own class consciousness. In this manner, we examined trade union burocracy, trade union consciousness and anarco trade unionism. In the second chapter, I tried to show the political activities of the Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions (DISK) in Turkey. DISK was very active about Turkey's political, social and economic crises. This attitude was impressed by two basic reasons. First, the founders of DISK aimed to make trade unionist activities more impressive in political sphere. Second reason was TKP. Some trade unionists accepted it's ideas and declared these as if DISK' s ideas TKP planned to realize their aims with the means of trade unionist sphere.it was emphasized that collective agreements had political characteristics in the period of monopoly state capitalism.National Democratic Front (UDC) that was a solution offer to Turkey's problems was expressed by trade unionists. The more trade unionist activities became political, the less democracy was applied in trade unions. Although trade unions were class and mass organitions, political parties ignored mass side. They eliminated workers and trade unionists who adopted different political ideas. A harmonious study wasn't achieved in trade unions and Confederation. 190
