Özet
19. yüzyıl Osmanlı dünyasının anlaşılmasında ve Osmanlı taşrasının sosyo-ekonomik yapısının ortaya konulmasında Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi'nde bulunan temettuat defterleri koleksiyonu araştırmacılara çok önemli veriler sunmaktadır. İmparatorlukta Tanzimat'la birlikte başlatılan devletin yapısına yeniden nizam verme faaliyetlerinin iktisadi anlamda yansıması olan bu kayıtlar, tutulduğu bölgenin makro ve mikro düzeyde sosyo-ekonomik kompozisyonunu çıkarmanın yanında; Osmanlı taşrasının ayrıntılı bilgilerini ihtiva etmekte ve Osmanlı taşrasını çözümlemeye yönelik çalışmalar için önemli istatistiki verileri kapsamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, kayıtların tutulduğu dönemde Kosova Eyaleti'nin Prizren Kaymakamlığı'na bağlı olan nefs-i Yakova'ın, temettuat kayıtları ışığında sosyo-ekonomik yapısı ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışmada, kasabanın coğrafi konumu hakkında kısa bir bilgi verildiği gibi; Yakova adının anlamı, bölgede kullanılan isim ve lakapların yanı sıra Kosova'nın tarihsel süreci ve beşeri durumu ile ilgili de bilgiler verilmiştir. Sonraki bölümlerde ise Yakova'da arazi kullanımı ve tarım, kasabadaki mahalle ve hane sayısı, nüfusun etnik ve mesleki yapısı, tarım ve hayvancılık faaliyetleri, hane sahiplerinin mülkleri, bölgede yetiştirilen ürünler ve bütün bunlardan 1260-61 senelerinde elde edilen gelirlerine ilişkin geniş bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır.

In understanding the 19th century Ottoman world and revealing the socio-economic structure of the Ottoman provincial, the collection of temettuat registers at the Ottoman Archives of the Prime Ministry presents very important data to the researcher. These records, which reflect the economic significance of the reorganization activities of the state, which started with the Tanzimat in the Empire, contain detailed information of the Ottoman provincial and important statistical data for the studies to analyze the Ottoman provincial as well as extracting the socio-economical composition at the macro and micro level of the region where they were kept. In this study, the socio-economic structure of the nefs-i Yakova, which belongs to the Prizren governorate of the province of Kosovo during the period in which records were kept, was revealed in the light of the data of the temettuat registers. This study gives a brief information about the geographical position of the town; in addition to the information about the meaning of the name Yokova, the names and nicknames used in the region, the historical process and human condition of Kosovo. In the following sections, a broad assessment was made about the land use and agriculture in Yakova, the number of neighborhoods and households in the town, the ethnic and professional structure of the population, agricultural and livestock activities, household proprietor properties, products grown in the region and the revenues gained from these activities in 1260 and 1261.
