ABSTRACT In creasing the production and providing the searce sources to be used most effeciently for the purposes of the firm is one of the main purposes of the firm. For this reason, especially after the second world war, mathematical techniqes have been developed. Among these techniques D.P. is of importance. Because it has been applied for many firms working in many fields and facilitated enterprising for these firms In this study to provide most efficiently the continuing function of the activities of production planning and controlling, which are the most important function for the firm and of importance for future studies, D.P. approaching trial is being made. When demonstrating the beneficial effects of D.P. technique in using it as a tool for production planning the purpose of this study has proved its accuracy by making an application in the firm of SÖKSA. This study consist of three parts: 1) Process of planning and controlling of the production, 2) Decision taking models in main production planning and the fields of linear programming and applicating, 3) Application fields (made by D.P techique) the firm of SÖKSA In textile six different products one being produced by passing them though eight main units. By decreasing non-used capacity of manufactured goods, two D.P models which have sale limits and don't have sale limits have been prepared to find the production plan to maximize the profit in available conditions.vm The production value given by model 1 and 2 being compared with the values of the year 1995, the appropriateness of the results obtained has been investigated In addition the was of increasing annually worknig hours of textile have been studied, and its effects on total production and profit in two models have been studied. In the last chapter the effect on the optimal solution of the changes in the model has been studied, and by making a general evaluation, that the measures must be taken by the firm have been showed in a law to achieve the result and application.
