Özet
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen görüşlerine göre bütün öğretim seviyelerinde matematik derslerinde karşılaşılan istenmeyen davranışları belirlemek, bunların sebeplerini öğretmen görüşlerine göre incelemek ve öğretmenlerin bu davranışlarla baş etme stratejilerini belirleyip öneriler sunmaktır. Yöntem: Araştırma nitel bir araştırma olup durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında Erzurum merkez okullarında görev yapan 34 ilkokul sınıf öğretmeni, 32 ortaokul matematik ve 29 lise matematik öğretmeninden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacının literatür yardımı ile oluşturduğu üç sorudan oluşan görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi ile incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucu elde edilen verilerin güvenirliğini araştırmak için Miles ve Huberman'ın önerdiği formül kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırma sonucunda lise matematik öğretmenleri öğrencilerin en çok birbirleri ile konuşma ve gürültü yapma, ortaokul matematik öğretmenleri öğrencilerin konuşma, gürültü yapma, sınıf öğretmenleri öğrencilerin en çok ön yargılı yaklaşma davranışlarını istenmeyen davranış olarak belirtmişlerdir. Bunların nedenlerine ise lise öğretmenleri ön öğrenme eksikleri, ortaokul öğretmenleri ön yargılı olma, sınıf öğretmenleri ise dersin somutlaştırılamaması cevaplarını vermişlerdir. İstenmeyen davranışlarla baş etme stratejilerine lise öğretmenleri, öğrencileri derse dâhil etme, ortaokul öğretmenleri uyarma, sınıf öğretmenleri ise dersi somutlaştırma cevaplarını vermişlerdir. Sonuç: Verilerin analizi ve literatür yardımı ile öğretmenlerin en çok gürültülü sınıflar ve ön yargılı öğrencilerden bahsettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Dersin soyut yapısının ve önceki öğrenmelerin yetersizliğinin sebep olarak görüldüğü belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenler dersi somutlaştırarak, öğrenciyi motive ederek ve dikkati derse toplayacak etkinlikleri uygulayarak istenmeyen davranışlarla baş etmeye çalıştıkları tespit edilmiştir.

Purpose: The aim of this research is to determine undesired behaviours in math courses at all levels of compulsory education, to examine their causes according to teachers' opinions, to specify the strategies of teachers' coping with these behaviours, and to give solution suggestions. Method: This is a qualitative research and a case study is used in this research. The study group consists of 34 primary school teachers, 32 secondary school math teachers and 29 high school math teachers working in Erzurum central schools in the academic year of 2017-2018. As a data collection tool, interview form consisting of three questions which the researcher created with the help of literature is used. The obtained data were analysed by content analysis. The formula proposed by Miles and Huberman is used to investigate the reliability of the data obtained as a result of the research. Findings: As a result of the research, high school teachers indicated that students in high schools mostly talk to each other during the lesson irrelatively to the subject; secondary school math teachers indicated that students in secondary schools talk to each other during the lesson irrelatively to the subject, students make noise during teaching process, primary school teachers indicated that students in primary schools are mostly prejudiced against math lesson. The reasons of undesired behaviours are stated by high school teachers as preliminary learning deficiencies, by secondary school teachers as prejudices that students have against math by primary school teachers as students can not materialise the class. Solutions of coping with undesired behaviours are determined by high school teachers as adapting students more into class, by secondary school teachers as warning students about their unwanted behaviours, family interview, by primary school teachers as materialising and visualising the math class Results: Analysis of the data and the help of the literature showed that the teachers mentioned the most noisy classes and students with prejudice. It has been determined that the abstract structure of the course and the inadequacy of previous studies are seen as the reason. It has been found that the teachers try to cope with the unwanted behaviours by embodying the lesson, motivating the students and applying the activities to collect attention.
