Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul altıncı sınıf öğrencilerine tam sayılar konusunun öğretiminde uygulanan gerçekçi matematik eğitiminin (GME) öğrencilerin motivasyonlarına etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma 2015-2016 Eğitim Öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde Kahramanmaraş iline bağlı Dulkadiroğlu ilçesi Elmalar Ortaokulunda 27'si deney grubu, 28'i kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 55 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Altıncı sınıf şubelerinden 6-C sınıfı deney grubu; 6-B sınıfı kontrol grubu olarak seçilmiştir. Deney grubuna GME'ye göre hazırlanmış matematik öğretim programı, kontrol grubuna matematik öğretim programındaki etkinliklere göre hazırlanmış matematik öğretim programı 15 ders saati uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın modeli deneme modeli olup, araştırmada öntest sontest kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak“Matematik Motivasyon Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizlerinde SPSS 22 paket programında bulunan Bağımlı Gruplar için t-Testi ve Bağımsız Gruplar için t- Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin matematik motivasyonları açısından GME, deney grubu öğrencilerinin motivasyonlarını grup içinde etkilememiştir. Bununla birlikte GME, deney grubundaki öğrencilerin matematik motivasyonu sontest puanları üzerinde kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerin matematik motivasyonu sontest puanlarına kıyasla daha etkili olmuştur.

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of teaching integers subject with realistic mathematics education (RME) on the motivation of secondary school sixth grade students. The research was carried out in the second term of 2015-2016 academic year in Elmalar Secondary School, in Dulkadiroğlu district of Kahramanmaraş province with a total of 55 students, 27 in the experimental group and 28 in the control group. Class 6-C was chosen as the experimental group while class 6- B was chosen the as the control group. For the experimental group, a mathematics curriculum prepared according to the RME was applied and a mathematics curriculum prepared according to the constructivist approach based on the curriculum proposed by the Ministry of National Education was applied to the control group for 15 hours. The model of the research is the experimental model and the semi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group was applied in the study.“Mathematics Motivation Scale”was used as data collection tool in the research. For statistical analysis of the data obtained in the study, independent samples t-test and dependent samples t-test in the SPSS 22 package program were used. As a result of the research, in terms of mathematics motivation of the students, RME did not influence the motivation of the students in the experimental group. However, RME was more effective on the mathematics motivation of the students in the experimental group compared to the motivation of the students in the control group.
