100 ABSTRACT This research named“The Knowledge Philosophy inHilmi Ziya Ülken's Thought”consists of four main chapters. But, in introduction of this recearch, his life and his studies are examined. İn the first chapter, the knowledge in Hilmi Ziya Ülken's thought; in the second chapter, the philosophy according to Hilmi Ziya Ülken; in the third chapter, philosophy of knowledge according to Hilmi Ziya Ülken; finally, that is, in the fourth chapter, the problems of main the theory of knowledge in Hilmi Ziya Ülken are examined respectively. As a conclusion, the research is summarized and evaluated. The aim of this research is to transfere views of Hilmi Ziya Ülken to our times. Because this research enabled the ideals of Hilmi Ziya Ülken, who accupies an important place in the history of Turkish thought and science. Also, he performs an important role with his intelligence and carefullness and hard-working in a certain period of our history thaught. In addition to all of these, the views of interesting and original about philosophy and theory of knowledge in Hilmi Ziya Ülken's thought are determined. We have examined in this research, the first all of his studies and articles, secondly publications on his studies and his life.
