Özet
Bu çalışmada turizm eğitiminin önemli bir ayağını oluşturan orta öğretim düzeyinde mesleki turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin yeterliliği tespit edilerek AOTML stajyerlerinin ve mezunlarının işletmelerin beklentilerini karşılama düzeyleri değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaca yönelik olarak Erzurum'daki Dedeman Mesleki ve Teknik Turizm Anadolu Lisesi ile Hamidiye Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Liselerinde öğrenim gören 154, 11. ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerine ve aynı zamanda Erzurum'da bulunan 2, 3, 4, 5 yıldızlı ve butik 14 otelde 45 yöneticiye (genel müdür ve departman müdürleri) yapılan çalışmalar harmanlanarak ilgili okulların sektöre ara eleman yetiştirme açısından ne kadar etkili olduğunu ve sektörün ihtiyaçlarına cevap verebilirliklerini ortaya koymak hedeflenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamına uygun olarak literatür taraması yapılmış ve öğrencilerin turizm sektörüne bakış açılarının tespitine yönelik olarak, gerekli olan veriler anket yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmış ve ayrıca otel yöneticilerinin istihdam ettikleri stajer öğrencilerin yeterliliklerini belirlemek amacıyla ikinci bir anket yapılmıştır. Anketler, önce pilot uygulama ile test edilmiş, SPSS 20.0 programı yardımıyla yapılan hesaplamada anketin güvenilirlik katsayısı hesaplanmıştır. Ölçeklere ilişkin geçerlik ve güvenirlik testleri kabul edildikten sonra uygulanan anketlerden elde edilen veriler istatistiksel analizler ile anlamlı tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Anketlerin öğrencilere ve üst düzey yöneticilere uygulanması 2017 yılı Ekim ayında gerçekleşmiştir. Verilerin analizinde“ANOVA Testi”ve Regresyon Analizi uygulanmıştır.
