Özet
İnsan ancak özgürlük sayesinde sorumludur ya da sorumlululuk sahibi haline gelebilir. Fakat eğer fiziksel dünya nedensel olarak tamamen belirlenmişse, özgür irade nasıl mümkün olabilir? Eğer doğa yasaları zorunluysa, o zaman, ilkede, insan bu yasalardan kaçamaz. Öyleyse doğa yasalarının kiplerini inecelemek gerekir, zira zorunluluk ve özgürlük karşıtlığı, olanaklılık ve muhtemellik kavramlarını çağırır. Bu bağlamda, söz konusu çalışma, Descartes ve Leibniz'in felsefe sistemlerinde, muhtemel önermelerin spesifik kipiyle muhtemel olguların zamansallığı arasındaki ilişkiye, insan özgürlüğü ile ilahi ön belirlenimin bağdaşıp bağdaşmadığına ve dünyadan kötülüğün mevcudiyetinin gerekçelendirilmesine odaklanmaktadır.

It's by freedom that the man is or can become a responsible person. But if the physical world is causally determined, how can there be a free will? If the laws of nature are necessary, so, the man, in principle, can not avoid from them. So, we must examine the modalities of the laws of nature since the contradiction between necessity and freedom calls the notions of possibility and contingency. In this context, this work focuses on the relation between the specific modality of contingent propositions and the temporality of contingent facts; the question of the compatibility between freedom and divine predetermination, and the justification of the existence of evil in the world in the philosophical systems of Descartes and Leibniz.
