Özet
Literatürde Spinoza'nın bir sosyal sözleşme teorisyeni olup olmadığı konusunda çeşitli görüşler bulunmaktadır. Gerçekten de Spinoza, okuyucusuna, bir sosyal sözleşme teorisyeni olduğunu düşündürtecek teorminolojiye sahiptir. Fakat sosyal sözleşme kuramlarının siyasal iktidarı meşrulaştırıcı işlevi gözönünde bulundurulduğunda, onun sözleşme terminolojisiyle ifadesini bulan kuramının bir siyasal iktidar eleştirisi olduğu görülür. Bu çalışmada öncelikle Spinoza'nın genel felsefesi özetlenecek, ardından siyaset felsefesi sosyal sözleşme kuramı bağlamında incelenecektir.

There are several opinions in Spinoza literature on whether he is a social contract theorist or not. Indeed, Spinoza has a terminology which makes his reader think that he is a social contract theorist. However, given the justificative function of social contract theories about political power, it is seen that Spinoza's theory, which finds its expression in social contract terminology, is a criticism of political power. In this paper, firstly, Spinoza's philosophy in general will be summarized, then his political philosophy will be examined in the context of social contract theory.
