Özet
Bu çalışma Leo Strauss'un politik felsefesine ilişkin bir soruşturma olmak kadar Leo Strauss'un klasik felsefenin merkezi temalarını geri kazanmaya yönelik filozofik faaliyetinin politik niyetini kesinleştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Strauss'un politik planına uygun olarak, tez boyunca ele geçirilmeye çalışılan modern politik felsefede işlevsizleştirilen thumostur. Bahse konu hatırlayış fenomenolojik ihtilaflara bir çözüm için bir deneme olmak iddiasındadır: Bu amaca yönelik olarak modern politik felsefenin yoksun olduğu thumos kaydadeğer muadilleri ve karşıtlarıyla göz önüne getirilmektedir. Sonuçta, modern felsefede thumos-eros dikotomisinin irâdî ve temelsiz bir tercihle ortadan kaldırılışının kutsal olanın filozofik olanla aynı derecede tercih edilebilir oluşunun koşullarını hazırlamış olduğu konu ediliyor.

This study aims to be an inquiry into the political philosophy of Leo Strauss as well as ascertain the political intent and implications of his philosophical activity of recovery of central themes of ancient philosophy. Throughout the text what is sought to is the recollection of thumos which is denatured in modern political philosophy. Recollection at stake claims itself to be a tentative denoument of phenomenological disagreements: practice of desedimentation, to this end thumos which is missing in modern political philosophy is brought into light with its significant counterparts and ambivalents: At last, reduction of dichotomic character of classical political philosophy to one principle implicated in the very assimilation of wisdom to will leaves the predilection for philosphical life groundless and unevident in the face of sacred, however this forgetfulness and indifference between elemantel choices has been formulated under certain incentives and circumstances.
