Özet
Bu araştırma, interaktif eğitim yöntemlerinden biri olan standardize hasta uygulamasının, psikiyatri hemşireliği eğitiminde 3. sınıf öğrencilerin güdülenme düzeyi ve öğrenme deneyimlerine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test-son test kontrol gruplu randomize kontrollü çalışma ve nitel araştırma tasarımlarından biri olan fenomenolojik yaklaşımın yer aldığı karma yöntem ile yapılmıştır. Veri toplama formları; Öğrenci Bilgi Formu, Eğitim Yöntemi Değerlendirme Formu, Güdülenme Ölçeği ve Algılanan Öğrenme Ölçeği'dir. Araştırmanın nitel verileri psikiyatri hemşireliği klinik stajı tamamlandıktan sonra deney ve kontrol grubundaki öğrenciler ile yapılan üçer odak grup görüşmesi ile toplanmıştır. Aldıkları eğitim sonrasında deney grubundaki öğrencilerin ruhsal hastalığı olan birey ile görüşme yapmaya ve psikiyatri klinik stajına ilişkin yeterli hissetme düzeyi kontrol grubundan yüksek iken (p<0.05), görüşme yapmaya ilişkin anksiyete düzeyleri kontrol grubundan düşüktür (p<0.05). Klinik staj sonrası yapılan son ölçümde deney grubundaki öğrencilerin“Algılanan Öğrenme Ölçeği”puanları (p<0.05) ve“Güdülenme Ölçeği”puanları (p˃0.05) kontrol grubundan yüksek çıkmıştır. Öğrencilerin uygulanan her iki eğitim yöntemine ilişkin memnuniyet düzeyleri yüksektir. Yapılan odak görüşmeler sonunda deney grubundaki öğrenciler, klinik stajlarında hasta ile görüşmeyi başlatma ve yapılandırma kolaylığı yaşadıklarını, başarabildiklerini görmekten duydukları memnuniyeti ifade etmiştir. Kontrol grubunda yer alan öğrenciler ise klinik stajlarında hastalarıyla iletişime geçerken kaygı yaşadıklarını, görüşmeyi başlatma ve yapılandırma sürecinde birtakım güçlükleri olduğunu, hastaları ile görüşme yaparken deney grubundaki arkadaşlarından destek alma ihtiyacı hissettiklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Sonuç olarak, psikiyatri hemşireliği eğitiminde, öğrencilere bilgi ve beceri öğretmek amacıyla standardize hasta uygulamasının hemşirelik eğitim müfredatına eklenmesinin yararlı olabileceği düşünülmektedir.

This research which is assessing the influence of standardized patient methodology - one of the interactive education methods – on motivation level and learning experience of the students in psychiatric nursing education program. Research has been carried out with the mixed method which includes the randomized controlled study with pretest-posttest control group (one of the quantitative research methods) and phenomenological approach (one of the qualitative research designs). The data collection forms are as the following: Student Information Forms, Education Method Evaluation Form, Motivation Scale and Perceived Learning Scale. After the clinical nursing internship is completed, the qualitative data of the research is collected via triple focus group interviews performed with the students in experiment and control groups. As a result of the education they have received, the level of the competency they feel is morethan those in control group in terms of interviewing with students with mental disorders and of psychiatry clinical internship (p<0.05), their anxiety level related to making interview is lower than those in control group (p<0.05). From the final measurement performed after clinical internship, it is detected that the“Perceived Learning Scale”scores (p<0.05) and“Motivation Scale”scores (p˃0.05) of the students in experiment group are higher than the scores of the students in the control group. The satisfaction levels of the students related to both education methods applied are high. As a result of the focused interviews performed, the students in the experiment group state that they have experienced conveniences in terms of initiating and structuring the interviews with the patients in their clinical interns and they are pleased with the success they have achieved. The students in control group state that they have felt anxious when communication with the patient in their clinical interns, they have some difficulties in the initiation and structuring process of the interviews and they have felt that they need to have the assistance of their friends in the experiment group while making interviews with the patients. Consequently, it is suggested that the standardized patient application should be included into the curriculum of nursing schools in order to provide the students with related knowledge and skills in psychiatric nursing education.
