Özet
Zaman, hayat yolculuğunda en iyi şekilde kullanılması gereken değerlerinden biridir. Bireyin her alandaki başarısı zamanını akıllıca ve etkili yönetmesine bağlıdır. Araştırma hemşirelik yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin zaman yönetim becerilerinin akademik başarılarına etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Araştırmanın evrenini 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılı güz yarıyılı İstanbul Bilim Üniversitesi Florence Nightingale Hastanesi Hemşirelik Yüksekokulu'nda okuyan 1. Sınıf 112, 2. Sınıf 108, 3. Sınıf 120 ve 4. Sınıf 107 toplam 447 öğrenci oluşturdu. Araştırmanın verileri Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve üç alt boyuttan oluşturulmuş 27 sorudan oluşan Zaman Yönetimi Envanteri (ZYE) kullanılarak toplandı. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizi, SPSS for Windows 15.0 yazılım programı ile yapıldı. Akademik başarı ölçütü olarak öğrencilerin Genel Akademik Not Ortalamaları (AGNO) ve Akademik Not Ortalaması (ANO) öğrencilerin yazdıkları değerlerden elde edildi. Araştırma verileri değerlendirilirken tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metotların (Sayı, Yüzde, Ortalama, Standart Sapma) yanı sıra Student's t test, Mann Whitney U test, One-way ANOVA ve farklılığa neden olan grubun tespitinde Tukey HSD test, Kruskal Wallis test kullanıldı. Sonuçlar %95'lik güven aralığında, anlamlılık p<0.01 ve p<0.05 düzeyinde değerlendirildi. Çalışmaya katılanların yaşlarının 17 ile 32 arasında değişmekte olup ortalama 20,92±2,02 yıldır. Öğrencilerin AGNO'ları 1,84 ile 3,83 arasında değişmekte olup ortalama 2,62±0,40, ANO'ları 1,10 ile 3,91 arasında değişmekte olup ortalama 2,61±0,43'tür. Öğrencilerin AGNO'ları ile ZYE'nin tüm alt boyutları ve toplam puan ortalamaları arasında pozitif yönde ilişki bulundu. Öğrencilerin yaşları ile ZYE alt boyutları ve toplam puan ortalamalarının arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmadı. Erkeklerin zaman harcattırıcılar alt boyut puan ortalaması kız öğrencilere göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu saptandı. Sonuç olarak; tüm bulunan bulgulardan öğrencilerin kendilerini tanıdıkları, anketi yanıtlarken samimi ve gerçekç davrandıkları ve kendi zaman yönetimlerini doğru şekilde değerlendirdikleri söylenebilir.

Time is one of the valuables that should be used in the best way in the journey of life. Success of the individual depends on the smart and effectively managing time in the every area. Research was conducted in order to define the effects of time management skills of the students of high school of nursing to their academic achievement. The universe of study was created by 1st Year 112, 2nd Year 108, 3rd Year 120 and 4th Year 107 and total of 447 students studying at the Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul Science University School of Nursing in the fall semester of 2012-2013 academic year. The data of the research were collected using Time Management Inventory (TMI) that is formed by Personal Information Form and three sub-dimensions consisting of 27 questions. The analysis of data obtained in the study was realized by SPSS for Windows 15.0 software program. As a measure of academic achievement, The CGPA (WGPA) and Academic Grade Point Average (ANO) of students were obtained from the values that the students wrote While evaluating the research data,Student's t test, Mann Whitney U test, One-way ANOVA was used as well as descriptive statistical methods (Number, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation) and Tukey HSD test, Kruskal-Wallis test was used in the determination of the group that caused the differences. Results were evaluated. at the 95% confidence interval and the significance levels of p <0.01 and p<0.05. The ages of the study population ranged from 17 to 32 years of age with a mean of 20.92 ± 2.02 years. The AGNO's of the students ranged from 1.84 to 3.83 with a mean of 2.62 ± 0.40, The ANO's ranged from 1.10 to 3.91 with a mean of 2.61 ± 0.43. Positive correlation was found between the AGNO of Students and all sub-dimensions of ZYE and the total mean scores. There were no statistically significant relationship between the age of students and sub-dimensions of ZYE and the mean total scores. The average score of sub-dimensions of time wasters of male students was found to be significantly higher compared to female students. As a result; from all of these findings it could be said that the students know themselves, that they acted friendly and realistically when answering survey and they could correctly assess their own time management.
