Dr. Mehmet PEMBECİ Bu çalışmada, Japon bıldırcmlannda {Coturnix cotumix japonica) kuluçkalık yumurta ağırlığının ve ebeveyn yaşının civciv çıkış ağırlığı ve 6. hafta canlı ağırlığı üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla iki deneme yürütülmüştür. Birinci denemede, kuluçkalık yumurtalar, üç ağırlık grubuna 11.0-11.9 g (A), 12.0-12.9 g (B) ve 13.0-13.9 g (C) olan üç gruba aynlmış ve çıkışta civcivler birey sel olarak tartılarak çıkış ağırhklan tespit edilmiştir. Kuluçka peryodu sonunda A, B ve C gruplarında ortalama çıkış ağırhklan sırasıyla 6.98 g, 7.56 g ve 8.39 g bulun muştur. Grup ortalamalan arasındaki fark çok önemli bulunmuştur (P<0.01). Yu murta ağırlığının artışına bağlı olarak civciv çıkış ağırlığı da artmıştır.Alü haftalık büyütme peryodu A, B ve C gruplarına ait ortalama canlı ağırlık- lan sırasıyla, 178.16 g, 182.92 g ve 181.32 g olarak belirlenmiştir. Gruplar arasın daki farklılıklar istatistiki olarak önemli bulunmamıştır. Kuluçkalık yumurta ağırlığı ile civciv çıkış ağırlığı arasında ilişki çok önemli (P<0.01) korelasyon (r = 0.67) regresyon (b = 0.70) katsayıları tespit edilmiştir. Ebeveyn yaşının etkisini belirlemek üzere yapılan çalışmada, bıldırcınlar 22 hafta ve 65 hafta olan iki farklı yaş grubuna aynlmıştır. Kuluçka işlemi sonucunda civcivler bireysel olarak tarblmıştır. Tartım sonucunda 22 haftalık yaştaki ebeveyn lerin yumurtalanndan çıkan civcivlerin ortalama ağırlığı 7.60 g ve 65 haftalık yaştakilerinki ise 7.75 g olarak tespit edilmiştir. Gruplar arasındaki fark istatistiki ola rak önemli bulunmamıştır. Alü haftalık büyütme peryodu sonunda grupların canlı ağırlıkları belirlenmiştir. Tartım sonucu 22 haftalık yaş grubuna ait bıldırcınlann ortalama 6. hafta ağırlıkları 171.89 g ve 65 haftalıklannki ise 178.94 g olarak tespit edilmiştir. Gruplar arasın daki fark istatistiki olarak önemli bulunmuştur (P<0.05).

Prof. Dr. Mehmet PEMBECİ This research was conducted to investigate the effect of weight of hatching eggs and parental age on the hatching weight and the live weight at 6* weeks of age in Japanese quail (Cotumix cotumix japonica). For this purpose two experiment were conducted. In the first experiment, the hatching eggs were divided into 3 weight groups (A: 11.0-11.9, B: 12.0-12.9 and C: 13.0-13.9) and their chicks were used as material of the study. After hatching, the chicks were weighted individually. As result, weight of hatching eggs had a highly significant (P<0.01) effect on the weight of chicks at hatching and the mean chicks weights in the groups were 6.98 g (A), 7.56 g (B), 8.39 g (C), respectively. HIIn the experimental groups, mean body weight of the chicks at the end of the 6 weeks fattening period were 178.16 g (A), 182.92 g (B) and 181.32 g (C), respectively. There were no significant differences in mean body weight of the chicks at 6 weeks of age. Between hatching egg weight and chick weight highly significant (P<0.01), correlation (r=0.67) and regression (b=0.70) coefficients were determined. Parents were divided into 2 groups according to their age (22 wk, 65 wk) in order to determine the effect of parental age on hatching weight of chicks. After hatching the chicks were weighted individually. Parents age didn't have a significant effect on hatching weight of the chicks. The mean hatching weight of chicks in the groups were 7.60 g and 7.75 g, respectively. live weight of the grups at the end of 6 weeks fattening period was 171.89 g and 178.94 g respectively. The parents' age had a significant (P<0.05) effect on the mean body weight at 6 weeks of age.
