Özet
Geç Roma Dönemi net tarihlerle belirlenemez. Bunun nedeni hangi açıdan değerlendirildiği ile alakalıdır. Örneğin siyasal ve sosyal açıdan Geç Roma'nın başlangıcı Severuslar Dönemi olarak kabul edilebilir. Portre sanatı için matkap kullanımının azalarak Antoninler sanatının etkisini yitirdiği Geç Severuslar Dönemi kabul edilmelidir çünkü stilde değişiklikler başlamıştır. Mimari için bu süre M.S. 4.yy ortalarına hatta sonlarına kadar uzatılabilir. Bu çalışmada Geç Roma Portreciliği değerlendirilirken genel olarak siyasal ve sosyal değişimlerin portre stiline yansıması araştırılmıştır. İmparator portreleri üzerinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre dönem stilleri maddeler halinde belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca Anadolu'dan bulunmuş Geç Roma Dönemi portre örnekleri incelerek dönem stilini nasıl yansıttıkları araştırılmıştır.

The Late Roman period cannot be determined with the exact date. The reason for this is evaluated in terms of which is associated with it. For example, The beginning of the Late Roma in political and social terms can be regarded as the period of Severus. Antonine portrait art by the use of a drill for Severus loses the effect decreased in the late period of the art should be recognized because the changes started in style. Architecture this time for the A.D. 4th. century be extended until the end or even the middle of the century. In this study, when assessing the general political and social changes in the late Roman portraits portrait of the impact of the style was investigated. Late roman portrait style firstly has been identified from the Emperor portraits, then described with substances specified in the form. It has also studied how they reflect the style of the late Roman period, examining the some of portraits were found in Anatolia.
