ABSTRACT This study aims at giving ah outline of Spirantization and Palatalization in English in terms of Phonological Repr e s en t a t ion, With the explanation of the procedure which taken place in Spirantization and Palatalization“The Cyclic Theory in Phonology”has been explained briefly for the advantai of giving a hand in rule ordering, So this study deals with the Segmental rules of English and Cyclic Phonology. The Spirantizing and Palatalizing of the certain sounds are explained and illustrated with simple examples such as differentiation of the single segment in different environment.
