Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada, atların alyuvar sedimantasyon hızının hematokrit değer, akyuvar sayısı ve total plazma proteini ile etkileşimi incelenmiştir. Araştırma, Silahlı Kuvvetlerde at yarışı ve merasim amacıyla bulundurulan, sağlıklı, 5-17 yaşlı, çeşitli ırktan ve her iki cinsiyetten, 28 at üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Alyuvar sedimentasyon hızı, hematokrit değer ve akyuvar sayısı rutin yöntemlerle belirlenmiştir. Total plazma proteini ise biuret metodu ile tayin edilmiştir. Alyuvar sedimentasyon hızı ile hematokrit değer arasındaki negatif korelasyon istatistiksel önemde bulunmuştur (p < 0.05). Alyuvar sedimentasyon hızı ile akyuvar sayısı arasında istatistiksel önemde bir korelasyon bulunamamıştır. Bununla beraber, alyuvar sedimentasyon hızı ile total plazma proteini arasında görülen pozitif korelasyon da istatistiksel açıdan önemli bulunamamıştır. Bu pozitif korelasyonu sadece istatistiksel yöntemlerle yorumlamak doğru olmayabilir. Ayrıca, bu korelasyonu etkileyen birçok faktörün bulunduğuna ve bunun sadece rastlantıya bağlam lamaya cağına inanılabilir. Bu konunun açıklanabilmesinde hayvan sayısıyla birlikte araştırma sayısının da artırılması gerekmektedir. Araştırmada, son literatürler de gözden geçirilmiş ve bulgularımız tartışılmıştır,

22 8. SUMMARY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ERYTHROCYTE SEDIMENTATION RATE, HEMATOCRIT VALUE, LEUCOCYTE COUNT AND TOTAL PLASMA PROTEIN IN HORSES. In this study, the interactions of the erythrocyte sedimentation rates of the horses with their hematocrit values, leucocyte counts and total plasma proteins were investigated. The investigation was carried out on 28, healthy, 5-17 year old horses from various races and both sexes supplied from the military forces being kept for horse racing and ceremony purposes. The erythrocyte sedimentation rates, leucocyte counts and hematocrit values were obtained by routine methods. The total plasma proteins also determined by biuret method. The negative correlation between the erythrocyte sedimentation rates and hematocrit values found to be statistically significant ( p < 0,05). There was no statistically significant correlation between the erythrocyte sedimentation rates and leucocyte count values. But, however the positive correlation seemed to be between the erythrocyte sedimentation rates and total plasma protein values wasn't also found to be statistically significant.lt may not be true to comment this positive23 correlation only by statistical methods. It may be also believable that so many factors are interacting in this correlation and this may come about not only by a chance factor. To clarify this problem, more research is necessary, together with more animals. In this investigation, the recent literatures were also looked over and findings were discussed.
