Özet
VII. SUMMARY This study has been done to evaluate the clinical service given to and epidemiological properties of the patients during the treatment period in 1992 internal service of Gevher Nesibe Educational and Research Hospital at Erciyes University. Totaly 1778 patients was treated in the service in 1992 and 50 % of them which are 889 patients selected by means of the systematic sample technique and have been taken samples. Because of the incompleteness of records in the archives 770 patients were excluded. All the identification data listed and data related to the examination, diagnosis and treatment in the patient files were recorded to the data sheet. The recorded data was evaluated by a computar program chi-square method was employed for the statistical evaluation. 57.8 % of the patients in the test group is male and their professions are mainly farmer, officersand retired. The rest 42.2 % of the patients are female and they are hause-wifes. The majority of male group falls in the age group 60-79 and the majority of the66 female group falls in the age group 40-59. 84.4 % of the patients are married, 10.9 % of them are unmarried, 51 % of them are widow, it was not possible to get any information about their education. More them half of the patients are from the city center or the towns and villages. 70.5 % have social insurance. Majority (52.8 %) of them were sent from polyclinics and (48.3 %) were sent from the emergency service. Patients have stayed in the hospital average 12.58±11.2 days. Patients have been mostly applied biochemistry CBC urine analysie and almost all of them have been taken EKG and -P- A lung graphics. The imaladies diagnosed on the patients are mostly in range diseases of upper genital system (Al 1 1) the other cases of heart diseases (A84), diabetic diseases (A64). At the end of the treatment given at the center 70 % of the patients left with no change 11% died, 7.6 % recorvered. 66.8 % of the treatment expences falls in the range 1.000.001-5.000.000 Turkish liras and 10.7 % of the treatment expences are below 1.000.000 Turkish liras.
